After finishing his meal, Aria left the diner, his roommates following him around like moths attracted to light. Turns out Aria and Kael ended up being in the same class while Lirien and Eryndor were put in the same class.
As they entered the class, the first thing they saw was red long hair, turns out Elara was also in their class as well.
Aria then went to seat down with Kael following closely behind him, the pair then sat down in the first row of the class.
"Damn Aria! The way you took out those second years was fucking amazing bro," Kael said with a large smile of excitement on his face.
Aria continued to ignore Kael with his eyes closed, it was as he said before, he didn't have time for nonsense this morning, especially the rambling of a mad man.
Suddenly Elara then approached the pair, her footsteps low and calculating, she then stopped in front of Kael, glanced at Aria for a second before turning to face Kael.
"Kael! I need to talk to you…in private" Elara said without a change in emotion.
Kael's expression turned cold, he glanced at her, his eyes burning with intensity, "And why the hell should I talk to you."
Aria opened one of his eyes, his expression not changing but in reality he was actually quite surprised, he had never seen the idiot showing this kind of expression before, he was very curious about the relationship shared between the two.
Elara's eyes narrowed, but she persisted. "It's Kai! He has come back, and I even fought him in the battle royal." She said with deep fear contained in her eyes, "And I lost."
Kael's eyes widened, his face pale. "Fuck! I thought after I had beat him, he went abroad to study, why is he back now?" Kael said to himself while gritting his teeth intensively.
Aria's eyes flickered with interest, his gaze fixed on Kael. He wondered who this Kai person was, and how strong was he to make the girl with red hair show that expression, after all he had seen part of her battle strength during the speed and endurance test.
As he pondered, their home room teacher then stepped in. She had short black hair black eyes that looked as though one was staring at an abyss. She looked extremely tired based on how she entered the class and the way she looked.
"Okay! Everyone take your seats", she said, her voice low and exhausted. "My name is Lieutenant Fisher, and I will be your home room teacher for your first year, I hope we can get along properly.
The students nodded as they watched her walk over to the white board with slow steps. It almost looked like she could fall down at any moment making the students carry worried expressions.
On reaching the white board, she began drawing a complex diagram. "The process of absorbing Croatian energy is called resonance. It's delicate balance between your inner core and the energy itself"
"Croatian energy is basically a manifestation of the planet's life force, your inner core is like a magnet, attracting the energy and allowing you to harness its power, that is what will allow you to achieve break through's." She said as she scanned the student's faces, most of them carrying uninterested looks.
All of them already knew about it from birth, though she could see some carrying looks of curiosity, and that is why she still persisted on explaining the process once more.
"I see," Kael said, his eyes fixed on the diagram. "So, it's like tuning an instrument?"
"Exactly," Lieutenant Fisher replied. "You need to find the right frequency to resonate with the energy."
Aria listened intently, his eyes fixed on the diagram but his expression remained indifferent. He couldn't care less about all this, the class he really wanted to attend though was the armory class.
"The first step is to quiet your mind and focus your intent," Lieutenant Fisher continued. "You must clear your thoughts and emotions, allowing your inner core to resonate with your energy.
"That makes sense," A student at the back said, nodding. "But how exactly do we absorb it?"
Lieutenant Fisher flashed a tired smile. "That is the easiest part. Once you've achieved resonance, you simply need to… breathe it in."
"Like this right?" Kael said, taking a deep breath in and out.
"Yes," Lieutenant Fisher said, her body beginning to glow with a soft, pulsing light. "Now, it's your turn. I want each and every one of you to demonstrate the Resonance technique. Remember, quiet your mind, focus your intent, and breathe it in."
The students then closed their eyes and took deep breathes, their bodies beginning to glow with Varying degrees of intensity. Kael's body was glowing and intense bright orange color, the temperature around him heating up every moment.
Aria's body meanwhile radiated a fierce, crimson light, his inner core pulsating with power, and his expression cold and indifferent. 'The energy here is very potent…where the hell is this academy located.' Aria pondered.
As the demonstration ended, Lieutenant Fisher nodded in approval, "well done, class. You're making excellent progress. Now, it's time for your next lesson. Dismissed!"
The students began to file out of the class room, chatting and laughing as they headed to their next class.
While they were laughing, Kael was busy pondering what Elara said with a cold expression on his face. 'If Kai is really back, then this school will not contain the both of us.'
Aria's expression meanwhile remained silent, his eyes fixed at some distant point awaiting the next class.
