A few minutes ago... at the safe-zone...
Alvin, who had been carried by some men and placed on a comfortable chair with his leg up, was excited. For the first time, Albert was giving him command of an operation. It didn't matter what it was, the sheer fact he was doing this with him was enough. "What a fool. I tell him that his in control and he's beaming like a baby," Albert thought as he looked at his brother. " I do hope this will rock you false naïveté out of you and become someone worth of being acknowledged by me", he continued, crushing Thia's flask with his hands.
Loudly he asked," Alright Alvee how do we get into contact with the people of the village"? Alvin looked up and stared dumbfounded. He hadn't thought of that. Kui, as if realizing what that look meant, sighed and covered her eyes and said," And you don't know how to do that because you were too excited to ask for directions." The air tensed. A flash of anger and disgust flashed across Albert's face before disappearing and replaced with a stoic gaze. Alvin had seen it though and, in that moment, he realized a horrible truth, his brother hated him. He slumped into the chair.
Alex looked at his restless men. They had worn their full war gear complete with their modified leza guns and they were standing under the scorching sun. This wasn't good. " I think we should head back or at least find shelter for the men," he said looking at Albert. " Really I didn't know that," Albert said sarcastically. He was in a bad mood. His fool of a brother hadn't any idea or clue to get to the village and yet had made that outrageous call. Did this village even exist? he wondered if so how could they find it in the blasted wretched world. If only there was a way to find...
He stood there still excitement finally coming back to him. "Alex, do you have the Lits"? To which Alex replied hopefully," Yeah I do they're in the back of the van. Lits were little animals that were created out of necessity. It had an extremely large nose that was used to find things by the sense of smell. It had four eyes that moved independently of each other. It also had four legs as well as two tails that seemed to belong to ancient animals. Right now, however, what they needed was its sense of smell. "Alvin, is there something else you have that belongs to any villager,"? he asked as Alex brought out the Lits.
Alvin looked up and said slowly," There's a leza knife where I was sitting in the damaged tree," he said in a rather subdued voice. One of the men rushed and brought the knife holding it inside a cloth. He placed it in front of the Lits and stepped back. Alex let the animals smell the leza knife and, holding onto the leash he waited. A wave of expectancy filled the air. Everyone was ready. The Lits sniffed the knife twice, looked up then ran off at top speed yanking Alex off his feet. Engines roared alive and some let out screams of joy. It was time to hunt.
Alex, after being dragged across the safe-zone, was the first to arrive at the Gate. For an old thing, it looked magnificent. He stood up staring at it and noticed the huge force field that was a wall. He was about to get closer when he heard the metallic sizzling sound of the huge Zinga cannon blasting away at the gate. He coverd his ears as it exploded. This was it. Hunting.

The Leader looked out the window again this time he stood up. The black siren alarm had not been used in over thirty years. He was horrified. The murogi's prophecy was coming true despite their efforts. The village was under attack and this time it was happening when he had disbanded the protection unit and the military. In short, they were under attack and couldn't defend themselves. This was going to be a disaster.
