"Kind of," Faith said while nodding.
"I don't think there is any reason for us to show them respect. As far as I know, my sister and I are either richer than them or on the same standard as them. It's just that we are so low-key that they don't know about us..."
"Why kind of? Is there any other reason?" Aurora interrupted Arielle.
"Well, most of the time, if there is any good deal, Diaz always recommends us. In short, we are more like partners with them. Even when our company started and many companies were doubting us, they still supported us and gave us a chance to prove ourselves in some projects." Faith explains calmly.
"So they also contributed to where we are right now?" Arielle asked, making Faith nod her head. This made Arielle respect and love them instead of taking them as their competitors.
Aurora, on the other hand, was quiet. The two looked at her, wondering what she was thinking. After some minutes, she looked at them and said, "That's strange. Most of the richest families countrywide take the companies that are expanding rapidly as their competitors. We had such problems in various cities and countries because of our outstanding products and results. I can't understand how they are different. As much as I know, they have always had issues with other families, right?"
"Yes, it is believed that their president once complained about us..."
"Yes, they should be. After all, they know that we have other companies outside, and I am sure they can't let any other family take their place as the leading and outstanding company. They should see us as their enemy, not friends." Aurora concluded her analysis, making the others understand.
"When the family was complaining about the partnership, they thought that Dawn Peach was under the Parkers 'but later Dad told them that it wasn't. They didn't believe it. I heard that the CEO supported us endlessly, not giving them any chance to back out of the cooperation."
"Who is their CEO?" Arielle asked.
"The eldest young master of the Powells. Later on, he was able to convince his family, and they stopped causing trouble."
"We aren't sure what they want, but I guess this party will be the best way to find out what they want from us," Aurora said softly.
"By the way, who invited you to the party?" Faith asked out of curiosity cause Aurora had told her about it before she even told her about it.
"A friend of mine," she answered while looking out of the window.
"Do I know him or her?"
"I guess you don't since I also don't," Arielle said as she rolled her eyes.
"Maybe she knows him. Don't forget that we have been abroad for a long time. So she may know a lot of people here than us," Aurora said what was on her mind.
"Then what is his name?" Faith asked cause she believed that she knew every big shot in the city and also knew that Aurora's friends weren't any ordinary people.
"Gerald Powell," she answered. She felt bad about lying to them about him but she believed it was right to keep them in the dark cause she knew nothing about that man apart from his name.
Looking at Faith's shocked face, Aurora and Arielle wondered what was so shocking.
"Why are you so shocked?"
"Whom did you say?"
"Gerald Powell," Aurora repeated calmly, with no sign of impatience.
"Gerald Powell? Your friend?" Faith asked as she shook her head. She was still shocked and didn't know what to tell them. It seemed that Aurora didn't know who her friend was. Hearing that name, all the mystery concerning the help they got and the Powell's family was finally answered.
"Tell us something," Arielle asked since she was curious to know why she was shocked upon hearing that name. Aurora, on the other hand, was still looking at her best friend, trying to understand why she reacted that way, and she believed that that man was not an ordinary guy, as she thought.
"Well, I don't know how to explain it. You will see for yourselves during the party," Faith said after recovering from her shock. When they heard Faith" 's words, Arielle and Aurora believed that it was just as they were expecting, a drama. After all, that was the main reason as to why they accepted the invitation before.
At the Dawn Spa.
"Why is Keith and Kyle?" Faith asked the workers as they walked into the shop.
"Ma'am, today we have a lot of customers and some of the rich young mistresses paid a lot of money for Keith and Kyle to style them for the party." a young girl who looked like she was eighteen years old answered.
"Are you a professional stylist?" Arielle asked the girl cause she liked the girl's temperament and could tell that she knew how to style.
"Uhm..." she looked embarrassed to answer.
"Don't even ask her such a question. She is the worst here," another stylist answered out of jealousy since they could tell that these customers were rich.
"Enough with destroying your fellow workmate's image. Go and tell Keith and Kyle that I am waiting for both of them," Faith said coldly." And am not going to wait for them. If they aren't here in five minutes, then I will deduct their monthly allowance."
When the people around heard that, they were shocked to see that it was their boss who had visited. The lady who spoke ill of her workmate started sweating out of fear that she might lose her job.
The young girl nodded her head and walked to the inner room where special and rich clients were received and styled by the two most well-known stylists. Walking in, she found them talking while asking the clients how they wanted to look and which makeup they should use but they kept quiet when they noticed that they had company.
"Myra, what are you doing here?" Keith asked softly.
"mmh, Keith, a young lady is waiting for both of you outside," she said as she looked at the two clients. She had to agree that they were beautiful but not as beautiful as those who were waiting outside.
"What do you mean? Who do you think we are? We came here first and paid a lot of money so that Keith and Kyle could style us. Go tell them to wait till we are done!" One of the women spoke arrogantly.
Turning their attention to the girl, Kyle asked," Do they have appointments?"
"No, but..."
"No buts go tell them that they have to wait till we are done styling these two clients," Keith said without looking at her.
Shaking her head disagreeing, she said, "That's not possible. She said if you won't be there in five minutes then your month allowance will be deducted."
"Shit." The two men shouted as they stood up hurriedly.
