"I thought you had everything under control after all, you aren't a weakling," hearing him say that, Aurora was reminded that she had behaved like a coward a few minutes ago.
Opening her purse, she took out two golden invitation cards, making Cindy laugh. "The invitation cards were black. Yours is fake," she said while laughing.
People around were looking at her as if she was crazy while shaking their heads waiting for her to make a fool out of herself.` How can this girl have the courage to talk even after knowing Mr Powell knows them?'
"No, these two cards are special guest invitation cards. There were only five golden invitation cards in total," the security guard explained, making people look at the cards in disbelief. They only had one question in mind. 'Why did the two daughters from the Adams deserve the special guest's card?'
"Aaron, why are you here instead of being outside?" a security guard who had the badge of the head of security asked.
As he looked around, he saw Aurora and Arielle and was shocked. He respectfully bowed to them. "Madam, young miss. Both of you are back?" he asked, making them nod their heads.
"Will you be spending the night in the hotel? Should I make someone clean up and prepare your suite?"
"No, I want to see how you guys looked after it while I was gone. But you can go and take our suitcases from the bodyguards downstairs and take them in," Aurora said calmly.
"Okay, excuse me." With that, he left without even taking care of what had brought him into the room in the first place.
[Why did the head of security of the hotel call her madam?]
[Who is she?]
Knowing what people were thinking, Aurora shrugged before looking at the guard who was shocked in front of her. "Madam, I am sorry, I didn't recognize you. Please spare me. Please don't fire me," he begged while trembling in fear because he knew that he had messed with the wrong person.
"You may be spared if you tell me who told you that we didn't have invitation cards," she said coldly.
Luciana was afraid that people would find out that she was the person behind the scene making her glare at Cindy who was currently looking at her.
"It's her, madam," he said while pointing at Cindy.
"You may leave before I forget what I promised you," she said coldly.
Looking at Cindy coldly, she said, "You are indeed lucky that I am not in the mood to teach you a lesson. Maybe next time you won't be so lucky." She looked around as if she was trying to find someone.
"Take her out," she said with a threatening aura. Immediately she said that a group of men had gone in. Everyone could tell that they weren't Powell's bodyguards, but they kept quiet.
"Yes ma'am," they said in unison.
"Don't forget to teach her a lesson if you want to be paid at the end of the month," Arielle said with a smirk on her face.
Seeing this scene, everyone was afraid of even looking at them, afraid they may be the next person to be taught a lesson.
"Sorry about that, if I knew he was talking about Miss Hamilton I wouldn't have permitted him. Miss Hamilton, young Miss Hamilton, hope both of you will forgive me," Mr Powell said, while Aurora and Arielle nodded their heads.
This scene is terrifying because the richest family has never shown anyone respect for the way they are showing the two young ladies. They knew that for them to be respected by them, they had to be a powerful family. Another question was why Mr. Powell called them Hamilton instead of Adams.
At the side, the Adams and Turners were shocked. They couldn't believe their eyes and ears. How did they get powerful after leaving their house? Mr Adams was regretful because he knew if he had a good relationship with his daughters then the Powells would also be bowing to him and respecting him. He also knew that with the girl's help and connection, his family would have risen, but now, he lost everything. This made him sigh deeply. Seeing her father's regretful face, Luciana hated Aurora and Arielle to the core, but she couldn't hide the fact that she was envious of them.
"Let's continue," Mr. Powell said before giving Gerald a chance to talk to the congregation.
"Hello everyone. My name is Gerald Powell. I was supposed to take over five years ago, but due to something, it was delayed. Now, taking this position from my parents, I believe that I will take the company and my family to another level. Even though I was the CEO, there were some things I couldn't do. I hope that we will be able to work together in the future and in harmony to make each other richer and to develop our city. Thank you all for coming here. Please enjoy yourselves." he concluded with a bow as people clapped.
Aurora was in shock as she couldn't believe that she had gotten married to the heir of the Powells family. The man whom she never took seriously was more on the same level as her.
Faith looked at Aurora and saw that she was shocked. `It seems that I was right that she didn't know his identity.'
Arielle was equally shocked as she knew the name of the man who had invited them, and also she could remember who he was. `Shit, I can't believe that there is no laugh today.' she cursed inwardly.
"Why are we still standing here? Come on, let's go to the table. Mom and Dad are waiting for us. I know they have missed both of you," Faith told them, making them look at her.
"You know who he was when I told you my friend's name, right?" Aurora asked, trying her best to calm down.
"Yes, I knew," she answered.
"Then why didn't you tell us? See, now we came here for nothing at all," Arielle complained.
"Sorry, but I wanted both of you to see for yourselves," Faith defended herself.
"Are you still my best friend..."
"Faith, Aurora, Arielle, Mom, and dad are waiting for you," a voice startled them before walking away.
