As they entered Captain Cruz's office, Kyle and Yohan were surprised to find it empty.
The lights were on, and the familiar maps and operational charts were scattered across the desk, but there was no sign of the captain.
Just as Kyle was about to step out and investigate, a soldier passed by in the corridor.
"Colonel Cruz is expecting you in the control room," the soldier said, nodding politely before hurrying off to attend to his duties.
Kyle glanced at Yohan.
"Looks like we're headed to the control room."
They made their way down the hall, the low hum of equipment and the distant murmur of voices growing louder as they approached the room. The control room itself was vast, with a raised platform in the center.
As they entered, Yohan noticed that they were standing on a podium overlooking the bustling operations below.
