Chapter 28 - LOST TIME

"Nana where are we going?" A young girl with red short wavy hair asked, her eyes clear with innocence.

"Am going to show you something, dear" her nana said.

Picking the girl up, the Sunzech Patriarch said "OKAY close your eyes 'little sun' we are almost there"

The little girl squealed excitedly in anticipation of what her nana wanted to show her.

The old lady walked a little more untill she stopped.

"Okay open your eyes" she told the girl placing her on the ground.

"WOW!! so beautiful" the girl wowed looking at the beautiful scenery infront of her.

A small blue lake was in the middle of tall green trees, warm vapor floated above the lake, the water shimmered different colors when small dragonflies hit its surface to form small ripples.

The small lake looked to be alive in a beautiful way. "Nana, this is soo beautiful" the girl cooed soaking in the beautiful view she saw infront of her.

Old Fauzia looked at her Grand daughter who she knew had the blood of her ancestors running through her veins. She had brought her here, to confirm her suspicions which turned out to be true.

She knew the twins would be exceptional among all of them. She remembered she couldn't see this lake until she had come eighteen years of age, but here was her granddaughter who was half that age.

But she could already see 'Laziha'.

Little Florah started walking slowly towards the lake still in awe of what she was seeing.

She looked behind to see her 'nana' smiling at her but it wasn't her usual happy or cheerful smile, her smile showed her pride but her eyes reflected a little sadness.

She didn't know why but she returned her smile with a bright cheerful one.

Her nana motioned her to move closer to the lake which she happily did.

Little Florah squatted down near the lake getting a closer look at the water which appeared clearer the closer she looked. The lake looked to not have a surface and there were no fishes which made the beautiful girl frown.

Looking over to where her grandmother stood observing her. Florah called "NANA, COME SEE!!"

Old Lady Fauzia walked gracefully to her granddaughter standing near her she asked "What is it, my dear"

"The lake has no fishes, the books said most lakes have fishes".

The Lady calmly squatted down next to her and wrapped her arm gently around the little girl "Why do you say there are no fishes?" She asked smiling

"Look, there are no fishes swimming in the water" Little Florah said sadly pointing at the water.

"Hehehee" Fauzia chuckled her eyes twinkling with mirth. Scooping a handful of water, she looked at her clan's future and said "But I can see them, are you sure you are looking closely"

Florah frowned because clearly she couldn't see anything other than clear water. "Focus, my dear"

She heard her nana say guiding her small hand to touch the water.

Little Florah's face brightened in delight at what she was seeing, the patriarch observed her granddaughter. She slowly removed the girl's hand from the water but Florah's expression didn't change meaning the girl still saw the life swimming in 'Laziha'.

Florah opened her heavy lidded eyes to be met with a dark room. She felt a light headache trying to recollect what had led to her laying wherever she was. She remembered being kidnapped by two men who happened to be witches.

But she escaped by the help of the 'KING'

'Oh no, the king' she jerked her body from the massive bed in which she lay.

"Where am I? Did he kill me? What happened. Wait, I touched fire" she whispered remembering what she last did.

Examining her hand for any burnt marks but her skin was as smooth as usual.

"How did l end up here? Why is it so dark?" Florah had numerous questions.

"So loud" she had a deep voice mutter behind her.

"Hhhm" Florah squealed afraid tripping to fall face down on the bed.

Suddenly several candles on the wall started lighting up one after the other surprising Florah.

Standing up straight, she turned around to see the man she was desperately running from standing before her.

"Yo..your Majesty" Florah bowed and then lifted her head immediately remembering his order.

She wondered how she got in the man's bedroom as the last thing she remembered was them standing in her house touching the witch's head that he had set on fire.

Come to think of it 'How come the fire didn't burn him as well? Was it even fire, or was it another trick of his'

Quietly Florah snuck a glance at her Master's hands, to notice that they appeared normal.

She really needed someone to tell her what was going on before it drove her crazy.

Her head hurt every time she tried to remember something. She remembered she just had a dream but it was all hazy, the only thing she could make out was just a bunch of trees.

Gavriel quietly looked at the girl listening to her erratic heartbeat. 'She seems to not know what she is' he thought.

Looking at her battered self, "Come" he said, Florah followed behind him obediently as they walked across the room.

Opening the bathroom door, Gavriel entered and turned to his maid who was following him like an obedient puppy "close the door" he instructed.

Florah did as told and stood meekly awaiting her next instruction which rattled her heartbeat the moment she heard it.

"Undress me" Gavriel ordered, he heard the girl's heartbeat that had settled, rise up the moment he ordered.

The girl looked at him with wide eyes and pink bruised cheeks. He noticed that the redness and bruises on her cheeks earlier had reduced significantly while she slept on the bed.

"Red, I really hate repeating myself" Florah heard the king utter seriously.
