Feeling his body falling, Peter quickly stretched out his other hand.
Fortunately, the spider web launcher on his left hand could still be used. However, due to habit, he had found a fixed point on the right side to shoot the webs. Shooting from the left launcher to the right wouldn't make sense.
Therefore, he could only hurriedly find a suitable fixed point on the left.
The speed of free fall is very fast.
Even though Peter reacted quickly, he didn't have time to think too much in his hurry, so he could only find a spot that was passable.
Snap!
Feeling the solid strength reflected from the spider silk, Peter felt relieved.
"Very good, just imagine now. It's not decent enough to change the angle yet!"
Peter's body almost hit a car below due to the angle deviation.
At the critical moment, he grabbed the spider silk with both hands and exerted force from the waist down, almost folding his upper body.
Phew -
My butt feels chilly.
He could vaguely feel the friction between his buttocks and the metal roof of the car.
But now was not the time to worry about that.
"Be careful, the Spider-Man Express is flying by!" Peter shouted, trying to make light of the situation.
"Wow!"
The spider thread finally swung to the highest point, and Peter hit the edge of the third floor of an apartment building, then fell to the second floor fire escape, and finally fell from the ledge hitting the ground.
"Ouch! My back!" Peter lay on the ground and groaned. The fusion between this body and the spider gene seemed to have not yet reached its peak, and the intensity was slightly weaker.
The collision just now probably hit his spine, causing his body to lose all strength.
"Sorry, pal, I really don't blame you for this. Who knew the web launcher you made would break down at a critical moment?" Peter muttered to himself, apologizing to the other consciousness in his body.
In fact, even though he had traveled through time for the second time, he wasn't quite sure what state he was in now.
Did he temporarily borrow the body of another Spider-Man?
Or temporarily merged with another Spider-Man?
Well, no matter what, it was right to apologize first.
At this moment, not far away, several figures walked quickly towards Peter who was lying on the ground.
As they walked, they took out white masks from their bodies, and then took out weapons such as metal rods and pipes.
The leader said gruffly: "Someone call the boss? Tell him we've caught that masked clown!"
Peter's spider-sense woke him up, and he reluctantly raised his head to look over there. His night vision allowed him to see their outfits in the darkness: "Who are you guys?"
The leader just walked quickly to Peter and looked at him condescendingly: "Let me guess, you must be the spider-kid who has been causing trouble everywhere recently. You don't look so amazing now!"
Peter retorted, "Hah, is everyone wearing masks popular now? Are you dressing like it's Friday the 13th? Don't you think that's a bit outdated?"
Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre were classic American slasher villains, with the protagonist Jason wearing a hockey goalie mask while wielding a machete.
The attire of these thugs in front of Peter was almost exactly the same as Jason's iconic look from the 1980s slasher films he referenced, now rather dated.
"Shut your mouth, you little bastard," the leading thug said angrily. "Get down from there if you can!"
"Okay," Peter complied and actually jumped down, surprising them.
"You...you actually came down?" The leader was stunned by his move.
Peter shrugged nonchalantly: "Can't help it. One of my good qualities is I listen to advice, unlike you guys."
As he said that, he suddenly started to move into action.
Bang bang bang bang!
There was a series of strikes, and four figures fell to the ground.
"It's so cliche that I have to do this. I don't listen to any advice at all. Look, this is the result," Peter quipped.
Then, Peter used the launcher in his left hand to shoot out spider silk, tying the several people individually, and then tying them together again in a circle.
"It's much more fashionable now, like tied up pigs. It will never go out of style in any era."
