TESSA POV
When he begged me like that, I didn't know what to say. The next thing I heard was him ordering the doctors to make sure all my injury heal up in the next ten minute. The fact that the Lycan king begged me was too appealing, I couldn't get out of my shock until he left the room.
Everyone is well aware that the Lycan king doesn't beg, he's never sorry even if he's the one at fault, people beg him not the other way around.
"You have to let me teach her some lesson, if you don't, I will be forced to be more brutal, no one should hurt you except from me, no one should make you cry Tessa,"
The way he called my name and moved menacingly toward me, I had to cling into the silky curtain of the hospital room and pretend like I wanted to faint again.
The flunk in his eyes told me his wolf had taken over and I know how Alpha Shane can be when his wolf takes the wheel, it only showed how hurt and pained he was about what happened. How much he want revenge.
"Anisha did you hear what he just said, why are you Just standing there, you won! Everyone is looking at you now!" Cecilia was whispering in my ear, calling me out of my deep thoughts.
"You has better shake off whatever is making you freeze and come back to reality, it's getting heated here and everyone is calling your name, I mean they are gossiping about you, good gossips though,"
Cecilia kept jabbing away, blocking my attention span, I wanted to listen to what's going on around me but her voice kept running around in my head. She sounded so excited and agitated, her eyes looking everywhere except from my face.
"How did she manage to push Doreen out in few days after her arrival, every one does Doreen wishes and she does whatever she want, he has never questioned it!," another petite lady was talking quietly to someone else.
"They say she's his cure, I'm team Tessa if that's the case, if it will give us our Lycan king back and cast away that scary and blood thirsty demon away!" The other last responded, looking quickly away from my face when my eyes met with hers.
"I wasn't listening, but I think Shane said something just now, what did he say and why is Doreen getting laid on that wooden stick ladder?," the dread in my voice was scaring me.
The way Erikan was directed to my sister; Cecilia, I was dragging my eyes around the hall, the crowd murmuring silently, making the hall sound like a bird nest, hushed whispered everywhere.
Almost Everyone pointing their hands or gesturing with their eyes at me. While few attention were on Doreen bloody and weak figure. Wonder and curiosity on their faces, maybe I should have asked more about Doreen, if her getting punished by the Lycan king is a very big deal then she's more important than I thought.
"He's going to pardon her by not killing her but she will be taken to that wooden slab for three days, continuous bearing with whips. She will get an hour resting time after every three hours of whipping, I'm not sure she I'll survive it."
"You were deep in thought when he mentioned that killing her would be a waste of resources as he's still going to keep her, one way or the other he's still protecting Doreen by saying he spoilt her too much, he agreed that he made her think she's above the law and can treat you like his other mistresses,"
Cecilia sounded sad when she told me the latter part, it stung a lot but I pretended not to feel any internal pain, instead I swallowed my saliva and shrugged with my arms crossed.
Cecilia was telling me the judgment that was given to Doreen by the Lycan king when I was busy in my thoughts, I allowed myself to look directly to where Doreen was being dragged to, evading my eyes once before it collided with hers.
Blood plastering everywhere she stepped on, I could hear her soft wail and tired plea, yet the Lycan didn't waver, I looked di his direction and regretted at once, his cold eyes were on me.
"He can keep her for all I care, she's his prized pet. I just don't get all of these show, it's not in May way necessary, it's really irritating me and making me hypersensitive" its the truth actually, Doreen smiled at her mate from across the hall instead and and ignored what I said.
"Do you think my fate will be like Doreen one day, whereby he will make me fall in love and paranoid like Doreen, use me and then humiliate me publicly like this. I'm scared Cecilia!" This time I had to shout a little but just to get her attention back to me.
Cecilia looked away from Beta Omer, the look she gave me was more scary than the one on my face, I really wanted to laugh at her and remind her about my fears for the Lycan king, but I want in the mood for humor.
"He's a very unpredictable and brutal man, he can punish anyone. Without blinking an eye. But he can't punish you like this, I just know it," Cecilia eye didn't leave Doreen even as she spoke in hush tone to me.
Her mate, Beta Omer was walking toward the ladder slab, Doreen later there like a lifeless woman, her eyes darting around, probably looking for me, her body up till her neck tied to the wooden bed. Tears rolled down from my eyes when my eyes fell on the dripping blood from her left ear.
I couldn't help it, I tried to control the loud wince followed by a very shallow cry that erupted from my mouth when the first whip landed in her back, tearing her skin off, all eyes including the Lycan king fell on me.
"Bring her here, to me!. Be careful not to drag or hurt her, bring her to me now!," the Lycan king voice filled the very quiet hall, the last thing I saw before I fainted was beta Omer and another hefty warrior marching toward me.
Cecilia screaming my name and Doreen loud screaming escorting me into the darkness which I willingly succumbed to.
