Lucas's pov
I've already finished my work there. Business meetings are always hectic but hopefully it ended well and the investors agreed to my demands. I returned just yesterday from a week long trip and I'm currently on my way to Bella's house.
I've heard from Bella that the little girl is troubling her and wants to see me. I haven't met them for a week but I got a call from Rachel once, urging me to come soon to meet her.
The child misses me. Well me too....I missed them also. Guess in a week both mother and daughter made a place in my heart. I myself don't understand why I'm still attached to Bella.
It was meant to be nothing more than a night stand for me. But I still can't forget that night and her. I have never been so much involved with any lady as I'm with her. I also don't know how but I feel comfortable around them.
My complicated thoughts got interrupted when my driver informed me of our arrival. I knocked the door and after sometime a pale Bella opened the door. Why is she looking so pale? What happened in my absence?
She greeted me and smiled slightly. I too returned that smile and asked about Rachel.
Bella: Baby look who is here.
She called her daughter in her sweet voice. A bunny get her head out from the room and looked at me. It's Rachel. She smiled brightly seeing me and ran to me. I caught her and carry her in my arms.
She hugged me and wrapped her arms around my neck. I looked at Bella who was standing at my side. Her look is giving me tension. Is she not eating properly or what?
Lucas: How are you? Is something wrong?
Bella: I'm fine. It's just that she had become more naughty nowadays. Always running around the house.
Oh so she is now complaining me about her own daughter.
Lucas: Is that so?
I looked at Rachel who looked back at me innocently. I want to pinch her cheeks.
Lucas: Kids are naughty aren't they?
She quickly smiled at me and nodded.
Rachel: It is not me. Mumma is not taking care of herself properly.
Bella: Oh please come inside first.
I walked in the living room and sat on the sofa. This house has so much positive energy that it makes me want to stay. I saw Bella walking to the kitchen. I turned to look at Rachel who is now sitting on my lap.
Lucas: Baby you should not trouble your mumma. She is looking so tired.
Rachel: I didn't trouble mumma. She is having a stomach bug. She is not eating on time.
Oh as simple as that. I thought something worse happened to her. She is taking the medicines properly right...so she will be fine after sometime. I saw her coming out of the kitchen. She walked over to me and offered me water which I gladly accepted.
Bella: How's your work going?
Lucas: It's good. How about you?
Bella: I'm fine too but Rachel kept asking about you daily. She wanted to play with you.
Lucas: I came here to play with her only but I won't play dollhouse.
