"Daniel too is here for the competition?" Emma wondered aloud as she sighted her roommate amidst the footballers. It was the first day of practice after registration. The football field and Volleyball pitch are at the same area, close to each other.
"I didn't know he can play football!" Emma thought.
"Where are my teammates?" She asked no one in particular as she looked around for them.
"Hey, Emma! How are you?" Darla inquired with a smile. She had shown up with Tayler behind her but the latter didn't acknowledge Emma's presence and just went to stand at a spot.
"I wonder how this girl gets to smile every other day, in this kind of environment where everybody live in forcefully and sadly." Emma thought as Darla hugged her warmly.
"I'm okay. How about you?" Emma replied her.
"I'm good. I am super elated that we are doing this." Darla stated, smiling brighter.
"Right! Me too." Emma told her and was forced to smile back at her.
