As Kazuya locked himself in his room, the weight of his parents' secrets pressing heavily on his mind, he sought solace in the solitude of his own thoughts. The room felt suffocating, the walls closing in around him as he grappled with the overwhelming sense of betrayal and confusion.
As the hours stretched into night, Kazuya's thoughts swirled in a maelstrom of emotion, his heart heavy with the weight of unanswered questions. He didn't hear the gentle knock on his door at first, lost as he was in his own turmoil.
But then, as the darkness deepened and the silence grew more oppressive, a soft voice broke through the stillness. It was his mother, her tone gentle and coaxing as she called out to him.
"Kazuya, it's time for dinner," she said, her voice tinged with concern. "Please, come out and join us. We can talk about it."
But Kazuya remained resolute, his jaw set in a stubborn line as he ignored her pleas. He didn't want to talk to her, didn't want to listen to their lies.
His mother persisted, her knocks growing more insistent as she tried to coax him out of his self-imposed isolation. "Kazuya, please," she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation. "You can't keep avoiding us. We need to talk.."
But Kazuya wasn't having any of it "Just leave me alone, i don't want to do anything with you."
Misaka heard this but kneeled beside the other side of the door, "Please don't say that, you know that we love you so much and we care for you. We only want what's best for you."
Misaka expected to get a word from Kazuya but there was only silence. Even though, She didn't give up and tried to get through her son.
"Kazuya, are you really going to ignore me like that? Well I really can't blame you, I don't think i have been a good mother lately, you must'vebe going through a lot."
"I'm sorry, in times like this i should be more closer to you, but instead i feel very distant towards you even though I'm your mother..."
Kazuya was silently listening to his mother's words, but his expression did not change.
"You know, ever since you were little, I used to love hugging you, that action made me feel happy knowing I was closer to you, it made me feel that I would never leave your side."
"I don't know why I'm telling you about this now, but i just want you to know that I want to be closer to you, so please-"
Suddenly Kazuya's shouted through the closed door. "I don't want to talk to you!" he cried, his voice raw with emotion. "Just leave me alone!"
Shocked by the sudden outburst from her son, Misaka felt like she was only making him feel worse. With a heavy heart, she finally relented, her footsteps fading away as she retreated down the hallway. And as Kazuya was left alone once more.
