After a few days at sea, Viltz approached the captain and asked him: "Excuse me, but how close are we to the lighthouse of Peixe de Mer?
The captain looked at him with a mocking expression and replied: "In about a day or a day and a half it seems that you are already getting bored of life at sea! Haha! This is not a life that someone as fine as you can stand!" The captain patted him on the shoulder and went off to do his business.
Viltz returned to his seat and closed his eyes to wait.
When night fell, Viltz opened his eyes and saw a light flickering in the distance.
"It's time." Rising to his feet, Viltz watched the five people around him for a while before approaching the largest of them and slashing the back of his neck with his saber.
Blood splattered everywhere and all the sailors stopped what they were doing for a moment and looked in the direction of the headless corpse from which blood kept gushing. The scene froze for a couple of seconds before the bearded captain let out a roar of rage and drew his scimitar, charging at Viltz.
The other three sailors snapped out of their stupor and also drew their weapons, lunging at Viltz.
Viltz simply slashed with his saber and a blast of wind shot into the captain's neck, cutting off his head. Viltz dodged a slash coming from his right and slashed vertically with his saber. A slash came toward his back but a spherical blue shield wrapped around his body and blocked the attack. Viltz flicked his finger and a concentrated wind bullet flew out, making
The saber of the last standing sailor flew out of his hands.
The man became nervous and wanted to jump into the sea but before he could do anything, Viltz pounced on him and kneed him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, unconscious.
Grabbing the man, Viltz stripped him naked and began to carve strange runes on his body using a foul-smelling black ink.
The man woke up from the foul smell but before he could do anything, Viltz hit him again with another blow to the head, knocking him unconscious again.
When he finished drawing the last rune, Viltz tied the man to the trunk of the ship's sail so he wouldn't go anywhere and then began to throw the other bodies into the sea. When he finished, he grabbed the ship's rudder and changed course, heading out into the deep sea.
A couple of hours later. Viltz stopped the ship and lowered the anchor, then stood at the bow, grabbed the unconscious sailor and cut open his stomach, stuffing a few glowing gems with runes drawn on their surface before closing the wound with a spell, then tied a few metal balls to his back and threw him into the sea.
After a few minutes, he began to chant a spell. A few seconds later, a small whirlpool began to form a hundred meters away from the ship and the ship began to shake. Viltz staggered a little but quickly steadied himself and continued to conjure the spell.
The more Viltz kept reciting, the larger the whirlpool grew in the ocean and quickly reached where the ship was, dragging it further and further into its center.
Despite the dizziness caused by the constant spinning at high speed, Viltz kept chanting the spell and the whirlpool quickly expanded to 500 meters and kept expanding.
Dark clouds began to form over the whirlpool and numerous lightning bolts began to fall, Viltz's face turned pale and the boat beneath his feet began to crack but he still continued to chant the spell.
When the huge whirlpool reached 1000 meters in diameter, Viltz stopped reciting the spell and the terrifying whirlpool began to fade and in a few seconds everything was back to normal. Viltz's face was extremely pale and drops of blood trickled down his nose, the original ship was now reduced to a small wooden board on which he was standing. Viltz wiped his nose with a handkerchief and a broad smile came across his face as he saw how the sea was now absolutely calm as if the previous apocalyptic scene had never happened.
Snapping his fingers, a small whirlpool formed again and quickly extended to 100 meters in diameter that swallowed Viltz and then dissipated, returning the sea to its previous calm.
...
In the depths of the sea below, six vertical eyes glowing with a sinister yellow light opened wide, staring at the great whirlpool that formed in the water thousands of feet above his head.
The gigantic beast opened its massive maw and let out a roar that reverberated throughout the area, causing nearby creatures to panic and shiver in their places, not daring to move.
The huge creature moved its sepentine head and began to swim towards the surface of the lake at an extremely fast speed, revealing in passing its gigantic serpentine body that reached over a kilometer in length.
The beast continued to rise, traveling great distances in a few seconds.
Halfway up, he noticed something shiny heading in his direction from above.
It was too small, so tiny that it could pass through his teeth but it still caught his attention.
The beast sensed a great amount of energy coming from that body and a smell so appetizing that it made it start drooling from just smelling it.
The six eyes of the beast turned red and opened its maw wide, swallowing the body of the sailor whose stomach did not stop glowing.
The huge beast closed its eyes and felt the huge amount of energy it had just swallowed and the delight was evident on its monstrous face, as if it had just swallowed a delicious delicacy.
As the sailor's body passed through the beast's throat and approached the position of its main organs, a gigantic amount of energy shot out of its body and a blue wave shot out of its body, swallowing that entire section of the beast's body.
The huge beast opened its eyes wide and was about to spit out what it had just swallowed but before it could do anything, its chest seemed to be sucked in by an irresistible force as it collapsed in on itself.
The huge monster let out a mournful roar and began coughing blood for a while before its six eyes dimmed and its head fell to the side.
The huge beast began to fall into the depths of the sea.
The other creatures, who had heard its misery-filled roars, noticed the beast's condition and quickly began to devour it.
...
In the sky above the lake near Stigga's castle two blue whirlpools formed and a large amount of seawater fell from the first while large amounts of blood and huge internal organs fell from the second.
Viltz quickly deployed a barrier spell on himself and the organs before they crashed into the lake water.
He then straightened up and stood over the lake water as he checked the gigantic organs.
With a spell, he cut the various connections of the heart and checked it carefully.
It was a blue-colored heart the size of a house, due to its enormous vitality, the heart was still beating slightly.
Viltz checked it thoroughly and let out a sigh of relief that there wasn't a scratch on it before bursting into laughter of joy and ecstasy that his plan had been a success.
Pulling out a quill, Viltz used the blood covering the heart as ink and began to draw a complicated pattern of runes on it.
"Rune of preservation of vitality."
With this rune, items with vitality such as organs or vegetables could retain their vitality for up to 100 years without rotting.
When he finished drawing the rune, Viltz conjured a spell and the huge heart shrank to the size of a human heart.
Viltz took out a vial filled with liquid and put the heart inside before sealing it.
"Who would have thought hunting a sea serpent would be so easy! As creatures guided by their instincts, they're all too easy to fool."
Viltz smiled and put the vial away.
"With this, the first step of the Revirth project is complete."
Reducing the other organs to ashes, Viltz dispelled the barrier and then raised both hands in the sky before beginning to chant a spell, after which all the water in the lake began to ripple and the ground to shake. After he finished conjuring the spell, Viltz clapped both hands together and five huge stone monoliths 50 meters high shot out of the ground below the lake, Viltz concentrated even more and a huge 100 meter monolith rose up in the center of the other smaller monoliths, forming a five pointed star.
When the lake stopped rippling, Viltz took out a chisel and a small hammer and began to carve runes all over the surface of the monoliths, leaving no gap that was not covered by runes. When he was finished, he jumped off the huge monolith in the center and fell straight into the lake.
Climbing out of the water, Viltz looked down at his soaked tunic and his nose twisted at the salty fishy smell it gave off.
"Looks like i'm due for a good shower."
Picking up a clean set of clothes, Viltz opened a portal and teleported to an inn in Oxenfurt.
Relaxing in a rustic-style bathtub, Viltz mimicked Geralt's bathing pose and conjured the illusion of a small rubber duck swimming between his feet.
As he relaxed, Viltz began to think about his next moves.
"Well, the next thing i need to focus on is creating a bondage spell that is 100% effective if i want to go through with my next plans, if i use the knowledge i gained from that elven prince and combine it with my knowledge of mind magic and necromancy, maybe i can create something like a soul slavery spell."
Closing his eyes, Viltz stopped thinking about it and relaxed completely.
A couple of hours later, Viltz dressed and returned to the dingy ramshackle castle.
Looking at the castle now cleaned of its previous debris, Viltz scratched his head in frustration and could only sigh, he didn't want to hire staff to repair the castle since it was supposed to be his secret base, if any of his secrets ended up leaking out because of some servant who saw what he shouldn't see then Viltz would be in a lot of trouble.
"Sigh, i'll figure something out later, for now i'll just suck it up and live in this castle as it is."
