The council members settled into their chairs, their faces a mix of exhaustion and determination. Wald looked around at his advisors, noting the dark circles under their eyes and the tension in their shoulders. They'd all been working tirelessly to combat the illness and keep the kingdom running.
"First order of business," Wald began, his voice steady despite his own fatigue. "The cure. Astrid, give us an update."
Astrid stood, shuffling some papers in front of her. "The good news is, Your Majesty, that the cure is working. We've seen significant improvement in those who've received it. The bad news is that we're struggling to produce enough to meet the demand. We've got teams working around the clock, but it's slow going."
