Chapter 21 - Eiera's Fury

With a fierce battle cry, Aiden hurled his glowing sword straight at Kai, the blue aura trailing behind the sword like a comet. Kai smirked beneath his mask and stood still.

"You won't be able to dodge this!" As Aiden spoke, the sword's aura glowed brighter, and its speed increased by an enormous amount.

Kai was shocked to see the sword's speed increase, but before he could do react. The sword was so fast it flew close to Kai's shoulder giving a cut on his shoulder.

Aiden smirked as he saw the crimson blood dripping from Kai's shoulder. "You're fast, but not fast enough."

Aiden swiftly picked up one of his fallen soldier sword, and again hurled his sword towards Kai, but this time the sword speed was double than before.

Kai attempted to move, but the soldiers he had defeated grabbed onto his legs, preventing him from evading Aiden's sword.

Kai glanced at the soldiers in frustration and then turned his attention to the hurtling sword coming towards him. Kai quickly took a defensive position, placing the Eternal Blade in front of him as a shield against the incoming attack.

Just as the sword was about to strike Kai, it suddenly disintegrated into dust right in front of Kai, leaving Kai unharmed.

Aiden eyes widened as he saw his sword turn into dust before it could touch Kai, leaving him momentarily speechless.

Kai said in his mind, "Could it be."

Kai looked around and saw Eiera, Rin, and Hiroshi standing nearby.

Eiera's face filled with fury as she had extended her right arm towards where Aiden's sword turned into dust. Her emerald green eyes glowed in pink colour, and her hand was also glowing with her magic.

Kai effortlessly removes the soldiers from his feet, freeing himself. As Eiera, Rin, and Hiroshi approached Kai.

Rin asked Kai, "Brother, are you ok."

Kai responded, "I'm..."

Before Kai could finish Eiera murmured, "How Dare he."

Eiera turn to Aiden, her face etched with fury. As she cast a spell, "Eon's Cage!"

As soon as the spell was cast, a pink transparent wall made of magic emerged, trapping Aiden inside the barrier.

Aiden, shaken, said, "Let me go." But his voice was also trapped inside the barrier, unable to reach beyond its confines.

Eiera's heart filled with anger. As she took a step closer to Aiden, the barrier shrinks. With each step she took, the barrier shrinks, closing in on Aiden and leaving him with less and less room to move.

Aiden took a step back in fear, but the barrier back wall touched Aiden's back. As the barrier wall touched Aiden's back, a searing sensation coursed through him, burning his clothes and scorching his back.

Aiden quickly moved to the middle of the barrier and shouted, "RELEASE ME!" But his voice couldn't reach outside the barrier.

Eiera extended her right arm towards Aiden, her eyes flashing with determination. "Die!" She commanded. Her arm also started to glow in her pink aura.

As Eiera was about to crush Aiden within the barrier, her fury reached its peak, Kai gently grabbed Eiera's right arm. The warmth of Kai's touch brought Eiera back to her senses, reminding her of her true self.

Kai released Eiera's hand and turned to Rin. "Take care of her," Kai said as he approached Aiden, who was still trapped in the barrier.

Kai and Aiden stood face to face, but this time, Aiden was trapped within the barrier. Kai raised his arm, intending to touch the barrier. As Kai made contact with the barrier, it shattered into shards, releasing Aiden from his cage.

Kai spoke with his steady voice, "Leave. I'll come to meet your father when I want to."

Aiden responded defiantly, "I haven't lost yet. I'll bring more soldiers with me, and this time, I'll drag you from here."

"NO ONE'S TAKING ANYONE!" a large group of voices echoed.

Aiden looked behind Kai and saw Hiroshi and every single person from the village standing behind Kai. They were determined and resolute as they declared, "THIS VILLAGE BELONG TO US LEAVE OUR HOME!"

Kai spoke to Aiden, "About time they arrived. I was getting tired of holding back."

Aiden was left speechless, stunned by the unity and determination of the crowd.

Kai leaned in close to Aiden's ear and whispered, "Yesterday, they couldn't stand up against a handful of rogues. But today, they're standing against their very own prince. Fascinating, isn't it."

Kai whispered further, "Just imagine if they all attack you at once. Your father won't be able to find your body. Leave if you want to live."

Aiden gulped in fear and responded, "But...."

Kai interrupted Aiden. "Fine, you win. I'll be at your castle before noon. It's a promise. Leave."

Aiden nodded and left the village, with his back burned by Eiera's barrier. While his soldiers supported each other, some could barely walk after Kai's beating.
