**RUMBLE**
"Emma!" Lelia screamed out.
Lucas took out his spear and started attacking the drake.
Lelia went over to Emma and helped her up.
"Don't just stand there and help!"
Roseline looked back at Lucas before running towards the other two and so did Aiden.
Aiden used his affinity to move the rocks out of place while Roseline and Lelia picked up Emma.
Roseline could easily carry a person, but seeing Lelia's face, she didn't.
"Aiden, try to help Lucas."
"W-wwhat I'll die like that!"
She looked sharp at him and repeated what she said.
"Aiden. Try to help Lucas."
Looking at those eyes, Aiden could only nod and head over to help.
The drake swung its tail to Lucas, how moved in time using his affinity.
Blood dripped from his mouth because of his overuse of the space element.
The space element is incredibly difficult to use and overusing it will only harm you.
His focus wavered but got composed back quickly.
He used his spear to block an incoming attack from the drake's claw.
The spear having taken in the impact had cracks all over its base, seemingly ready to break any time soon.
The rumbling got more and more intense.
The next attack Lucas knew he can't withstand it.
So before it hit, he used a teleport spell that all space affinity user learn.
'Blink.'
He appeared behind the drake and the tail swung at him.
'Damn it!' He could only yell in his mind as he flew across the canyon's passage way.
Hitting the wall of one of the rock formations, he sat there dazed for a moment before getting back up and dodging the drakes mouth.
'Where are the teachers?!'

….
Seth had just told Sean what he had saw over there and Sean sat there silently.
Reapers.
Just what kind of business would they have there?
But unfortunately they won't be able to get those answers any time soon.
"Are you certain that they went in there?"
"Yes sir."
Sean thought for a moment before saying one last thing.
"Go. Break that magic array."
Sean ended the call like that.
Seth got up and headed to the desert with Atlas and Lydia following.
They needed someone to stay at the base, so they chose Raven.
Atlas brought out an object that was shaped like a compass.
Purple runes were on the back of it, glowing and ready to go.
He pointed the compass in the direction they wanted to go and instilled mana into it.
Bringing Seth and Lydia close, they disappeared in a flash.
Soon they reappeared infront of the array Seth had saw earlier.
Taking out Heaven-Breaking Will, Seth raised it above his head and turned on his aura-sight.
Looking at the gray aura wall, Seth took in a deep breath and swung down on it's weakest part.
A sound of cracking glass resounded across the desert.
The image of the desert had cracks all over it, Seth swung his longsword once more.
**CRACCKKKK**
The reflection of the desert broke into many pieces and disappeared into nothing.
What they saw soon after was the dark canyon.
A burst of pressure over came them but didn't bother them one bit.
"Can't believe we missed this." Atlas said in thought.
"It was reaper magic, of course we didn't see it before." Lydia responded.
The professors entered the dark canyon and felt the shaking from afar.
"Fighting?"
"Perhaps the students." Seth looked at the direction of the shaking.
"Let's go."
Atlas and Lydia nodded and went off with speed to the location of the fighting.

Lelia put Emma down once they got far away from the drake.
She turned around and was going to join the fight when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"What Roseline?" She turned to face her.
"I need blood now."
It had been two days since she last had a taste of it.
As a brand new Vampling, she was running on fumes right now.
Lelia tossed her a glass beaker full of blood before pushing her hand off and heading over to Lucas and Aiden.
She grabbed the beaker and opened it, the smell immediately making her drink it.
The thick liquid went down her throat and she relaxed with her needs having be met.
Her depleted strength came back to her and all of the heath she lost from fighting the skeletons before was recovered.
She was back to tip-top condition, if you ignore her mental exhaustion.
Her injuried insides weren't healed from that little amount of blood but it wasn't that big of a deal for a now-Vampling Roseline.
Roseline chose to stay with the unconscious Emma.
Thinking about something, she got down on one knee and cut a bit of blood from her finger.
She ate a bit of that blood and got a notification from the System.
——— SYSTEM ———
Blood from a new human was digested.
+ 1 free Stat.
——————————
Seeing this she remembered that she had gotten a notification similar to this before when she first drank Lelia blood.
But instead of unsealing her cells, it gave her a free stat point.
Looking at the stat point, she chose to put it in strength.
'A little more strength doesn't hurt anyone…'
She let go of Emma's hand and got up, pulling up the Quest on the exploration of the dark canyon.
——— SYSTEM ———
Explore the dark canyon.
Reward: +1,000 XP and ???
Defeat: Death.
Hint: (Go north.)
——————————
'A hint? What did I do to get a hit?'
While thinking about the System's shenanigans, Roseline looked back at Emma.
'Should I go now?'

When they stopped moving, they saw a giant drake fight with three of the students.
"They are here. Where are the other two?"
"We can ask them once their safe."
Atlas shrugged his shoulders at Seth's response.
"That drake is unusual, it's using the shadows like a creature under reapers but it's clearly a drake. Aren't drakes indirect descendants to dragons?"
Atlas had made a blade of light and grabbed hold of it.
"Well, we'll find out once we deal with it first."
