Roseline thought about leaving Emma before thinking against it.
'What if the thing needed for the book isn't there.'
She had a theory that the village and castle from before were a part of this canyon.
Why show the history of a place unrelated after all?
But she couldn't quite yet confirm her suspicions.
Not until she saw the sky splitting and the flames that came afterwards.
That sort of attack was definitely something her and anyone of the people she came with her couldn't do.
It only meant that the professors had finally found this place.
'So staying behind was the right decision.'
If she had gone off to the location she guessed was were the castle or village was at, she probably would have no way of coming back to earth and be left behind.
'My internal injuries are still here too.'
So she decided to use this time to rest.
Other then when she gone out of the trial, she hadn't gotten a break.
And it was her first time ever experiencing this.
The flood of skeletons, the trial, and the drake.
It was a bit much
She sat down and closed her eyes, attempting to rest.
But the voice of Lelia woke her up.
"Ms. Reese, they're here!"
The pink haired healer was following Lelia and saw Roseline and Emma.
Roseline wasn't in much trouble, but the same couldn't be said for Emma.
She pushed herself too much.
"Oh dear."
Getting down on her knees to get to Emma's level, Lydia started healing her.
Her condition quickly got better.
Her pale-complexion went away, the wounds of the fight closed up at incredible speeds, and her body was back in good condition.
After healing Emma, Lydia put her attention to Roseline.
"Please stand here for a moment, you internal organs are injured."
Roseline stood in silence while Lydia healed her.
Ever since she became a Vampling, she could feel the movement of her own blood way more then before.
The green light the entered her body made the blood producing process speed up while giving a boost to the white blood cells to prevent any mishaps and red blood cells to rebuild the damaged areas.
Roseline watched this process closely as it was incredibly interesting.
After waiting a few minutes, the healing was done and Lydia backed off to check on Emma again.
'Just how will I open this damn book. Maybe my blood again?'
With Lydia distracted, she bit her finger and put the blood coming out on the book.
Nothing happened.
'Great.'
Seth came down from one of the canyon's peaks and told Lydia.
"This place is collapsing, bring the students back as quickly as you can."
The shaking had been going on her a while and it had now just reached it's peak.
Lydia nodded and turned to Lelia and Roseline.
"I will carry her, you kids follow."
""Yes ma'am"" they said at the same time.
Lydia went to pick up Emma when something fell from one of the canyon cliffs and hit Roseline on the head.
Looking down on the item, it was strangely shaped, but recognizable.
An item that was usually found in the churches of Gheasis.
It was a badge in the shape of a flower growing out of a womb.
Roseline picked it up and put it in her pocket, she would check it out later.
Lydia looked back at the two and nodded before running, Roseline and Lelia following behind.
Getting through the canyon had become far more difficult, with the terrain changing every minute from the destruction of the previous fight.
Many times they had to change where they were going to avoid the falling debris.
Once they got to Atlas and the other two, they grouped up and left the canyon that was at the end of its life.
**BANG**
**BOOMMM**
They couldn't hear anything other than the noises of destruction, not even their foot steps.
Once they got to the mountain that they entered through, Seth used spirit magic to carry the students in mid air.
"Ah!.."
It shocked the students a bit, but getting out of there was the more important part.
They just got out in the nick of time.
The canyon was now gone, forever just history that only the students here would remember.
Roseline looked around and sighed at the sight.

Because she had been in the cave, she hadn't been able to do any of the daily quests.
Something formed infront of her and she quickly raised her hand to grab it.
Opening her hand, a key was there.
The key had the same design as in the book.
'Are they related?'
With her still being outside and in a place with several people, she chose to put it in her pocket like the badge from before.
"Alright, now that we got you young students out of that dangerous situation, let's head back. We will ask you about what it was that you saw there."
Roseline wasn't sure what they saw in the other path so she decided there to lie about it.
She wasn't going to talk about the Trial of The Weak.
With that, they headed back to the base.
Emma had just woken up again and looked to the sand with her head down.
'I have to become stronger…'
She tightened her fist.
They were all pretty traumatized from the place, though they haven't realized yet.
They were just kids after all.
They had gotten back to the hotel where Atlas made the announcement that they were headed back to the base after an event happened.
The one with the most point up until now was the winner of the expedition.
It was Jake's team that had gotten first place.
