He was also offended when his mother called his wife a bitch. But he had to be careful, or else Winter would get hurt.

"I'll have to find a way to dismantle her people first. I don't want a huge threat looming over Winter like this," Sebastian muttered. He knew it would take a while to do that, mainly because he didn't know how deep his mother's connection was. 

But he still had to do something because he wanted to protect his wife no matter what.

Sebastian turned his body so he could stare at the view of the New York City building from his window.

He would've gotten angry in this situation if he were the old him.

But right now, he could only feel guilt.

"She spent two years staring at this view, living in this cramped guest bedroom while I took everything from her," Sebastian murmured, then snorted sarcastically, "You're such an asshole, Sebastian."
