My eyes followed Drex and the beast as they circled Keegan, like two vultures waiting for their meal. The beast's glowing red eyes never left Keegan, and its growls filled the room with a menacing symphony. Drex moved with a predatory grace, his dark cloak swirling around him like a living shadow. Keegan, wide-eyed and trembling, sat on the floor, his gaze darting between the monstrous creature and the imposing figure of Drex. Fear radiated off him in waves, and his breaths came in ragged, shallow gasps.
I couldn't move. It was as if I had been super glued to the floor, forced to witness the grizzly scene unfold before me. My heart pounded in my chest, and my pulse echoed in my ears. Every fiber of my being screamed to look away, but I was trapped, ensnared by the horror and dark majesty of what was happening before me.
