Sho Inugami is the only son of the Inugami family (a long line of semi-respected, semi-feared Medical Ninjas) and is also the SECOND most detested person (at least amongst the youths) in the village (after Naruto Uzumaki.)

This is tied to 3 events that occurred at different points in his life: first, Sho was born with heterochromia - his eyes are two drastically different colors - which caused many people to believe he was cursed because his mother, Anastasia, was a foreigner from beyond the samurai lands to the west. (Kurando Inugami had spent time with the samurai during the early days of the Third Great Ninja War in a cross-cultural exchange and met Anastasia while serving as a yojimbo.)

The second was a labratory accident Sho was involved in when he was 5 years old. He had been shadowing 12 year old Genin Kabuto Yakushi - whom Sho admired among all the other medic-nin trainees for his intelligence and analytical skills. The young medic-nin was using some volatile chemicals and Sho, in an effort to make himself useful, accidentally mixed two chemicals that caused an explosion. Sho spent 9 months in a coma and, when he came out, the majority of his hair folicles had suffered permanent damage leaving his hair stark white, save for a single lock above his gray left eye. Because of the timing of his accident, Sho missed the Academy enrollment for his age group - that of Neji, Rock Lee and Tenten - and was enrolled in the following year's class.

The final event that cemented Sho's reputation in the village occurred at age 7 when he earned the nickname of "Oni" Inugami, which is an unusual connotation -

Inugami are mythical dog spirits that protect and help those they serve, while Oni are Ogre/Demon/Fiends typically associated with evil and random slaughtering.

The name "Oni" was foisted on him by the village kids due to the rather gruesome

nature of his family's field of interest (medical experimentation, which is considered repugnant despite the benefits to the village found through the research of the family) and because, while separated from the rest of the class during an Academy wilderness survival class, he was attacked by a wild boar. According to Sho, as he reported when he found his way back to the starting point later, the imprecise control of his Chakra scalpels when trying to defend himself ended up dicing the boar and showering him in pig's blood which he mostly ignored for the remainder of the day - blood was nothing new to him - and generally creeping out anyone who encountered him.

Since that time, he has more or less be ostracized by his peer group. As a result, this has made him fairly callous towards these peers and enjoys baiting them - using deliberate taunts to cause them to react in anger; not merely for his own amusement, but to see if they are capable of showing an open mind.

Those few that pass these tests are raised

out of the field of targets for his antics, but not necessarily to true friends. So far in his age group, only Shikamaru Nara, Chouji Akamichi and Naruto Uzumaki have piqued his interest enough to, if not consider them friends, then to be people he is willing to

associate with.

Sho has one smokey-gray eye and one piercing emerald green eye, is approximately 5'3" and about 120 lbs of lanky, lean muscle. He greatly resembles Kabuto, his friend, mentor, fellow medical ninja, and lab assistant to his parents on occasion.

He has a very high IQ, approaching that of

Shikamaru Nara - enough that he can give the lazy genius a run for his money in Shogi, but Sho's never won a match. He tends to read & study and is usually silent - so much so at times he practically seems to be a part of the scenery - save during those occasions when he is playing one of his games with the others.

In addition to the standard Ninja Academy jutsu, Sho, as a medical ninja, has already mastered Chakra Scalpel and Chakra Suture, the two basic medical jutsus. He is well versed in many other techniques, but has not officially mastered them yet.

His fighting style is varied, but he's principally a close-range fighter and positively lethal when in arm's reach, utilizing his extensive knowledge of human anatomy to land fast-kill / fast-disable strikes against pressure points, internal organs, etc. made all the more devastating in conjunction with his Chakra scalpels.

His exact level of skill is uncertain - the Taijutsu teachers at the academy can tell that he's holding back during training; he is either unwilling to reveal his true skill or is doing so to avoid accidently injuring his sparring partners.

It is generally agreed by those who observe his combat technique that the only close-combat fighting style more devastating to the foe is the "Gentle Fist" style of the Hyuuga clan, thanks due to the fact they have the Byakugan, and his style shows unusual similarities.

It is a mystery to the taijutsu master at the Academy as to how Sho has learned to fight in this manner as the Hyuuga clan do not permit their children to use the Gentle Fist while at school.

Sho typically carries a modified standard medic kit (scalpels, bandages, blood

replacement pills, soldier pills, needle & thread, antibiotics, etc.,) 10 Kunai throwing knives, 20 standard-size shuriken, 5 letter bombs, 3 flash bombs, and metallic line.
