The door was not locked, so Aki pushed it open and stepped inside. "Yuki-chan, I'm coming in!" he called out softly, not wanting to startle her. The room was eerily quiet, and he couldn't see Yuki anywhere.

"Where could she have gone?" Aki wondered, sitting down on a chair next to the bed. His eyes landed on a book lying on the bedspread, and he picked it up, glancing at the title. "Berserker? Really, who recommended this book to a little girl?" Aki exclaimed, eyebrows raised in disbelief. It was a dark and intense novel, hardly suitable for a child. He sighed in relief when he noticed it was just the first volume.

As Aki was deep in thought, a small hand suddenly shot out from underneath the bed and grabbed his leg. Instead of panicking or lashing out in surprise, Aki simply looked down and smiled gently. "You've been found, Yuki-chan. Now come out, or you'll catch a cold."

"Moau, Aki-nii! I was going to scare you! You should at least act surprised to keep my mood up," Yuki puffed her cheeks in frustration as she crawled out from under the bed. Dusting off her clothes, she hopped up onto the bed with a huff.

Unfazed, Aki placed the "Berserker" book on a nearby table and reached into his backpack. He pulled out a stack of colorful books and handed them to Yuki. "Here, try reading these instead. They're more suitable for you," he said, offering her a friendly smile.

Yuki looked curiously at the new books then at the one aki place away. Knowing the assignment Yuki explains. "Oh, Aki- ni are you worried about me? Hehe don't worry I haven't read 'Berserker' yet. My brother came this morning and accidentally left it behind. Though I was going to read it later," she explained, her eyes still on the new books.

She flipped through the stack and noticed the titles. Her eyes widened with excitement. "Aki-nii, are these limited editions?" she asked, looking up at him with a mix of surprise and curiosity.

Aki chuckled at her reaction. "Why do you ask?"

"I've heard my brother talking about these books this morning. He was yapping about how they're releasing next month," Yuki exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with intrigue as she glanced back at Aki, hoping for an explanation.

"Oh, right! These are some free copies I got from friends who work in publishing. They give me to read them in advance," Aki explained casually, brushing off the importance of his connections.

Yuki nodded, though she wasn't entirely convinced by his vague explanation. "I won't ask much about your 'friends,' but thank you for the books. Oni-chan will love these," she said, clutching the stack of books to her chest with a grateful smile.

Aki couldn't help but smile inwardly as he watched Yuki. "How cute this creature can be," he thought, marveling at the little girl who seemed to light up the room with her presence. Or was she a "loli"? No, definitely just a girl, he corrected himself, amused by his own thoughts. Yuki was like a breath of fresh air, a sort of mental recharge he didn't know he needed. "She's kind of like a mental health boost," Aki scoffed inwardly.

"Have you eaten breakfast yet, Yuki-chan?" Aki asked, shifting the conversation to more practical matters. He didn't want her to skip meals, especially considering her condition.

"Yeah, I had some porridge earlier," Yuki replied, flipping through one of the new manga volumes Aki had brought her. "But hospital food is so boring, you know?"

Aki laughed. "I can imagine. Maybe next time I'll sneak in some pancakes or something more exciting."

Yuki's eyes lit up at the thought. "Really? You promise?"

"Of course," Aki said with a grin. "I'm a man of my word."

They continued chatting about the manga he brought, discussing their favorite characters and moments. Yuki's face was full of life as she talked about the latest plot twist in her favorite series. It was refreshing to see her so animated, and Aki found himself getting lost in the conversation.

After a while, Aki glanced at the clock and realized it was getting close to noon. "Hey, Yuki-chan, how about coming with me to watch a show that's starting this afternoon?" he suggested casually.

Yuki hesitated for a moment, her fingers idly twirling a strand of hair. "But... my asthma?" she asked, uncertainty flickering in her eyes.

"It's fine," Aki reassured her. "We'll have a private room, and I'll talk to the doctor to make sure everything's okay."

Yuki looked at him so intensely that aki had to step up for himself. "Are you thinking that I'ill kidnapped or doing something to you?"

Yuki chuckled at aki words. "No… I was thinking maybe Aki-ni is just being kind... or maybe a lolicon."

A tick mark appeared on Aki's forehead at the cheeky comment. Without thinking, he gave her a light bonk on the head with his fist, enough to make his point but not hurt her. "Oi! What was that for?" Yuki exclaimed, clutching her head in mock pain, her eyes welling up with fake tears.

"That's for calling me a lolicon," Aki said, trying to keep a straight face but failing as he saw her dramatic reaction. "Now, stop being a brat and get ready. We're going to have some fun today."

"Alright, alright!" Yuki giggled, still rubbing her head but now more excited about the upcoming adventure.
