Fortunately, one of my powers saved me. One I hadn't even known about. I placed my hand over the villains, and smirked as he turned to bone, then dust. After that, I was propping myself up on my hands and knees, panting, eyes closed. "Elizabeth and the class dealt with the others. Unfortunately, they got away, but-" Connor said, and I could feel him crouching next to me. I opened my eyes, and looked over at him, notcing a long cut on his cheek. He held his hand out to me. "Come on. I'll patch you up."

Safe to say, I had taken his hand, and he'd led me to the bathroom for our dorm area, where I was sitting on the counter as he cleaned and bandaged my cuts and scrapes. "Oop-I almost missed one." He pushed a strand of hair behind my ear, and cleaned that wound, then bandaged it, and cleaned everything up. I helped him. We sat in silence for a while before the question burst from my mouth. "Connor, why do you care so much about me?" He looked at me, his face unreadable. "Because we're friends, and thats what friends do, isn't it? They care. They support. They love. They're kind." I thought on that for a moment. "That would make sense."
