In memory of a man, a father so cold
Whose heart was as frigid as the winter's snow
He wedded not once, but twice in his life
Yet his actions towards his wives brought only strife
My mother, a woman of grace and love
Fell victim to his vices, his sins from above
She suffered in silence, her spirit broken
Her light dimmed, her words left unspoken
And so I grew up in a house of despair
My father's pleasure, a constant nightmare
He cared not for the pain he caused
Nor the hearts he left bruised and raw
His second bride, my stepmother fair
Lay in her bed, burdened with despair
His neglect and infidelity left her bedridden
Her once bright eyes now heavy with hidden
I look in the mirror, I see his face
A reminder of the sins, the disgrace
I carry his legacy, his burden of shame
A cursed passed down. a stain on my name
I hate him, with every fiber of my being
His actions, his choices, so demeaning
I am his favorite legacy, his prized possession
A reminder of his sins, his great transgression
So I carry on, in this life of mine
A constant battle, a never-ending line
Between forgiveness and hatred, love and pain
A son of a man, forever stained
His name, a stain on our family's name
A man of deceit, a man of shame
In his wake, he leaves broken hearts
Torn apart by his selfish and reckless darts
I cling to hope that one day he'll change
But deep down, I know it's all in vain
So here lies a man whose deeds betray
The love and trust he cast away
And as for me, his son true
I'll break free from his shadow, start anew
For I am not defined by his sins
I'll rise above, my own story begins.
