Allie looked around.
There was more than a dozen of men, all armed with pistols and knives, two even had axes. The time seemed to stop for a moment, and Allie knew that they were facing a bigger trouble this time.
"You are not bringing her anywhere."
Among the armed men, one stepped forward. All of them were bulky and wearing casual clothes, tanned skin, rough looking. Allie couldn't tell if they were from this community, or if they were from a neighboring island.
She wasn't sure, but she could tell that these were dangerous people. The kind who wouldn't think twice of burying a bullet on someone's head in a moment of heat.
"I will be bringing Tanya with me, and you people, have no say on that!"
Allie turned to the man who was yelling. With his stance and demeanor, he appeared to be the leader of the group.
"Are you her husband?"
