"Aren't we supposed to have separate rooms?"
Allie's eyes wandered around the spacious room where Evan had brought her. He said it was his room whenever he came here and that no guest used it, as it contained his personal belongings.
She expected she would get her own room at least. After all, there would be a lot to take care of early in the morning, and the groom and bride shouldn't stay in one room while the dressing up and all the girly stuff was being done with her.
Besides, wasn't it customary for the bride and groom to be apart the night before the wedding? They weren't supposed to be sleeping together.
"Mom doesn't stick to the customs that much, so she mustn't have thought about it. What's the big deal, though? This is not a real wedding for either of us, so who cares about the goddamn rules?"
