THE SYSTEM I MADE
Chapter 20
"Signs"
Suddenly, a bright light enveloped Alex, and the next thing he knew, he was standing back in his dorm room at Valorwood Academy. The familiar surroundings were a stark contrast to the dangerous forest he had just escaped from.
Aida's voice chimed in, "Master, you are now safely back in your room. The penalty has concluded."
Alex sighed in relief, flopping onto his bed. "I really need to avoid these penalties from now on," he muttered, staring at the ceiling.
"(Notice):New Daily Quest will come up after 5 hours," said Aida.
"I learned my lesson, that's for sure," Alex muttered.
"Let's hope these daily quests are not that complex." He suddenly realized he was late. Quickly, he equipped his clothes and dashed out of his room, heading to his class.
By the time he arrived, the period for Potion and Elixir Studies and Development had ended. Now, it was time for Magic Theory with Professor Alaric Voss.
Alex hurried into the classroom, slightly out of breath. "I apologize for being late, Professor," he said, bowing slightly before taking a seat.
Professor Voss, a tall, stern-looking man with sharp features and piercing eyes, nodded in acknowledgment.
"Very well, Mr. Eldraine. Let us begin."
He turned to the class. "For those who don't know me, I am Professor Alaric Voss. I will be teaching you Magic Theory this year. Magic Theory is fundamental to your understanding and mastery of the arcane arts. We will delve into the principles that govern magic, the laws of mana, and the intricate balance between spells and the natural world."
"Do your thing, Aida," said Alex ( through Nueral pathway communication).
"Affirmative. Activating Augmented Reality video projection for future referencing of the lesson and increased understanding of the topic spoken by the professor," Aida responded.
A subtle, translucent interface appeared in Alex's field of vision, capturing everything Professor Voss said and displayed helpful annotations and diagrams alongside his lecture.
Professor Voss continued, "Magic Theory is not just about casting spells. It's about understanding the essence of mana, the life force that flows through all things. By mastering this, you will not only cast more powerful spells but also do so with greater efficiency and control."
As Professor Voss elaborated on the complexities of mana channels and spell matrices, Alex felt a surge of excitement. The augmented reality projections from Aida highlighted key points and offered additional insights, making the intricate details easier to grasp.
[Lunchtime; Academy cafeteria]
As Alex sat alone at the cafeteria during lunchtime, he mulled over the intricacies of magic theory, finding it far more complex than he initially anticipated. "Magic theory is a really interesting subject," he muttered to himself between bites of food. "I thought that magic was simple like how characters in games use magic, but it is too much detailed and has processes of its own and requires deep understanding."
After the magic theory lesson, his mind buzzed with possibilities. "If I master that subject and study magic more, maybe I'll finally harness my own magical abilities," he pondered aloud. "I wonder what it will be... Will I be able to stop time? Create flames that never extinguish, ice that never melts, or possess more than one magical attribute? Perhaps even master all the elemental magic? I can't wait to find out, and it'll help me level up even more efficiently."
As Alex finished his meal in the academy cafeteria, his thoughts drifted to the upcoming daily quest. Suddenly, the system screens in front of him flickered, displaying the list of tasks for the day. Alex leaned in to read the prompts as Aida relayed them to him.
"Daily quest activated," Aida announced. "Today's tasks include physical exercises: five different activities to complete."
Alex scanned the list with a mix of curiosity. "Looks like it's time for some physical training," he muttered to himself.
W Alex stood up from his seat, his mind set on completing the quest. As he made his way to the academy's training rooms, he couldn't help but marvel at the quality of the facilities. The halls were lined with intricate tapestries depicting legendary battles, and the air was filled with the sounds of students honing their skills.
Entering the training room, Alex found himself surrounded by state-of-the-art equipment and spacious training areas. "Impressive," he murmured, taking in the sight.
With a determined expression, Alex began his daily quest, moving from one exercise to the next with focus and precision. From weightlifting to agility drills, each task pushed his limits and tested his resolve. As he pushed himself to complete the challenges, he couldn't shake the feeling of satisfaction that came with every small victory.
Despite the physical strain, Alex felt a sense of accomplishment as he finished the final task of the day. Breathing heavily, he wiped the sweat from his brow and glanced around the training room with a sense of pride.
"Another quest completed," he said, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.
"You have successfully completed the Daily quest for the day, you have earned 30 distribution points, you have earned 30 points" Aida said.
"Now that I got rid of that on the way, there is something I want to do next" Alex said exiting the room.

[WESTERN VILLAGES]
As Lord Gerald (Patriach of the Eldraine) and Commander Gareth(commander of the Eldraine knights) surveyed the grim scene of the western village, their expressions darkened with concern. More than twenty carriages lined the streets, filled with knights and officials from Eldraine. Lord Gerald, his brow furrowed with worry, reached out to touch the lifeless body of a villager, only to find it devoid of any trace of life or soul. The villagers, with eerie smiles frozen on their faces, lay motionless, their bodies drained of blood.
"This is an absolute catastrophe," Gareth remarked, his voice heavy with dismay.
Lord Gerald nodded in agreement. "Indeed, what could have caused such a tragedy? And why do these bodies wear smiles even in death?"
A knight approached, bearing news of their investigation. "Sir Gareth, Lord Gerald, we have discovered an absence of blood in all the victims. Despite the lack of blood, they all perished in the same manner."
"No blood? It seems whoever is responsible possesses formidable magical abilities," Gareth mused.
Lord Gerald's expression grew graver. "This pattern of smiling corpses has been recurring for weeks, spreading from the east. We must act swiftly before this despicable phenomenon consumes more lives."
Gareth's gaze hardened with determination. "Indeed, my lord. It seems someone or something wishes to announce its presence in our world with chaos and devastation."
