The sun
Angel always loved to watch the sun set after a long day.
The vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple blending seamlessly together, creating a mesmerizing scene that seemed to transport him to a tranquil paradise.
It was his escape from life and the difficulties that came with it, For those few minutes every day angel felt all his stress, Anxiety and anger about the unfairness of the world disappear almost as if it hasn't existed in the first place.
Today was no different as the sky started to slowly to show a myriad of colors.
"Thank god I'm not to late" A young man with a thin body sat with his leg's dangling over a ledge and a small smile on the edge of his lips.
His looks were anything but special with a face that could disappear in a crowd. Short messy hair that was covered in dirt looking as if even a drop of water hadn't touched it in weeks. His body obviously malnourished and skinny enough to wonder if he had been starved and yet his murky black eye's were still filled with life.
"Every time i haggle with that old women she becomes even more cruel" Angel sighed his gaze going toward the bag in his hand with visible excitement.
He didn't hesitate quickly raising the bag and pulling it open, His hand reached inside and the sound of plastic being crinkled filled the air. A few second's later a large wrapped cookie was in his grasp.
Angel smiled ripping the plastic wrapper off and biting down on the large chocolate chip cookie. The moment it entered his mouth he couldn't help but let out a moan of satisfaction. The cookie was so soft and moist that it was almost like eating a piece of heaven itself.
"That old lady is cruel but she definitely knows how to bake" Angel nodded as he chewed with his gaze raising from his hands and going toward the sky.
It was only once a week Angel allowed himself to splurge a bit, Scraping up all his lose change after paying for his expenses and satisfying his sweet tooth. This time of the week was undoubtedly what he looked forward to the most.
The sun slowly started to fall as glorious color's used the sky as a canvas painting an indescribable picture. Angel's heart filled with a sense of happiness as he took one last bit finishing off his weekly cookie and crumbled the plastic in his hand.
A smile on his face leaning back against his arm's and kicking his feet, Despite trying his hardest to hide his darkest emotions a tiny flame traveled through his chest and his lip's turned down into what could only be called a sneer.
'I hate this life' Angel laughed out breathlessly as he looked down at the bustling city below him.
He hated it more then anything
From his view it looked like nothing more then a bunch of ant's furiously working to make ends meet. Work, Sleep, Eat and then rinse and repeat for the rest of your life.
When did it truly end?
'It doesn't until you die' That was the time angel looked forward to the most.
When he finally wouldn't have to study like his life depended on it, When he wouldn't need to constantly work back breaking job's during the night just to pay bill's that he shouldn't even need to pay.
"It's all for her"
Sadness filled his eyes and a melancholy expression painted his face as he thought about the one person who seemed like a light in this dark pathetic world, His mother.
If only she were alive would Angel be able to live with true happiness, And yet the only reason he kept on struggling in a world that didn't care about him was because of her. He didn't want to throw away the gift of life he gave her and wanted to prove to himself more then anything that his life wasn't a mistake.
"How pathetic" Angel shook his head trying to get rid of the dark thoughts that constantly tried to corrupt his heart.
Such thoughts were hard as he set in the same place he used to with his mother when he was younger, Perhaps that's where his love of the sun set had come from nothing but a straw he was contentiouly grasping just to keep going.
"Tomorrow is another week of hell so i better enjoy my free time now" Staring into the sky with a blank face he couldn't even muster a smile despite seeing his favorite view.
The cool and crisp air brushing against his face seemed to mock him. The beautiful sunset that he usually enjoyed felt dull and lifeless, The cookie that he savored every week like it was a divine meal left a stale after taste.
Everything felt empty as if it wasn't real.
"Damn I ruined my nig…" Angel sighed out but his words trailed off as his gaze raised upward.
'Huh?' The beautiful orangish sun that was setting seemed to multiply out of nowhere.
"Have I been working to hard?" Angel couldn't help but curse his luck thinking he needed glasses as he saw seven lights fill up the sky instead of one.
The other lights were much brighter then the sun almost blinding to the point that angel felt like his corneas were being set on fire, And yet he couldn't move or even close his eye's despite the excruciating pain. His eye's never leaving the light's for even a second as his face turned lifelessly blank almost as if he wasn't alive.
Angel could barley form a thought as the light's seemed to grow closer and closer as the earth was painted in a golden Hue, He only had one feeling travel through his whole body as he started at the unknown light's.
"Disgusting" The word's barley spoken just below a whisper that no one would ever hear as he felt his consciousness fade with a never ending sense of disgust.
The last thing he heard before the darkness consumed him was an indescribable roar that seemed to shake the very foundation of the world.
