"Let's take you through what we have already gathered," Adrianne said biting into a chocolate cake that she brought out of the freezer.
Maria sat up on the couch with a very abrupt attention, Micael was sitting close to her, so close that she could feel the heat radiating from his body. She tried her best ignore it and focus on what Adrianne was talking about.
"So far, it looks like you might be a target of Ansel. With the pure fact that he most likely killed your fiancee and best friend just to get to you."
Micael raised his hand as if wanting to say something, Adrianne gave him the permission to.
"If there is one thing I know about Ansel, is that he isn't targeting Maria, she isn't even in his radar."
"How can you tell?" Maria asked.
"I have lived with that mother-fucker for 20 years of my life, so I know how he thinks."
"I don't think that you can really tell something like that Micael. You would be surprised by the mere fact that he definitely has Maria in his radar," Adrianne tried reasoning.
"And believe me when I say that he doesn't have her in his radar."
"How such can you possibly be?"
"Cause me and Ansel are brothers." Micael revealed and the surprised look on their faces wasn't something he expected–well he expected it from Maria, but not Adrianne that's for sure.
"Well color me surprise, since when have you and Ansel been brothers?" Adrianne asked.
"Wait I thought that this was something you should know at least."
"Well I didn't know that. Why didn't you bother to tell me?"
"I thought you were a seer?" Micael questioned.
"Well there is a restriction to how much I can see apparently, since I can't see the fact that you and Ansel are related to each other."
Micael rolled his eyes on hearing this. "Anyways the main thing is Maria is not anywhere close to being in his radar one bit."
"Ok let's just say that maybe you are right, but we are not removing the fact that she is still under his radar."
Micael raised his hands in surrender, not totally agreeing with what she was saying but not wanting to drag the situation any longer than it already was.
"So we are hundred percent sure that his plans and motives is to take over the Mystic Pack, right Micael?"
Micael nodded his head in agreement.
"And him taking over Mystic Pack would require him absolute control over every single Pack in the entire community."
"Wait, every single Pack in the community?" Adrianne asked.
"Did I stutter, I said every single Pack in the community."
"Wait, but how is this possible?"
"You see, Shadow Mystic Pack is like the main figure of the entire pack of this community that we are living in. If anybody becomes Alpha that automatically means that they have a say in anything that goes on in everyone else business?"
"Oh dear, this is terrible."
Maria couldn't help but look at them with confusion etched on her face. "I'm sorry, but what exactly are you guys talking about?"
"About the fact that Ansel apparently has full control over all the packs in the community if he ever becomes Alpha." Adrianne said, then look at Micael a very long and hard look.
"But if he is next in line to be the Alpha, why did he plan to kick you out of the pack in the first place?" Maria asked.
"Now you see that is the question I have been asking myself since the day that everything happened. I began to wonder if I was some sort of threat to him." He said then he shrugged. "Whatever his dumb reasons maybe, I don't care I just want to give him a thorough beating. I also want to have a word with Antonio as well."
"Hey Adrianne, have you guys ever thought of infiltrating the pack. Just to find out what his end game is?"
"That is not a bad idea, but the risks are a bit much now don't you think so Micael?"
"It is, it would probably end up with somebody dying."
Micael hands reached out for a piece of paper that was next to Maria and she felt his hand slightly brush her breast, and Maria flinched on contact. Micael didn't seem to notice, as he took the paper and kept it besides him.
"C-can I use your bathroom?" She blurted out.
"Sure, it's over there," Adrianne pointed at a door that was slightly ajar.
Maria stood up and hurriedly walked towards the bathroom, closing the door behind her, she placed her hands on her cheeks. Trying her best to calm herself down.
What exactly was wrong with her? Was she ovulating? It was most definitely a mistake that if another person did she would have just ignored and go about her day.
Or was it because it's Micael? She let out a frustrated groan, she was too old to be behaving this way, like she is some kind of teenager.
She went to the mirror and stare at her reflection, she took in a deep breath and then let it out. Suddenly the foundation of the building started shaking.
A deep rumble came from underneath. Maria ran outside and saw that Adrianne and Micael were at an alert.
"What's happening?" Maria asked.
"It seems that our defence is being breached," Adrianne said.
"By who?" Micael asked.
"I don't know." Adrianne said, then she felt it a sudden presence that she hasn't felt for a very long time.
"Shit," she said making beeline to the front door only for it be opened up with a very big force that it pushed her away.
"Adrianne!" Micael went to her side to help her get up. "Are you ok?"
"Yes I am," she turned her attention to the front door where a very bright light was shining and a pair of fancy shoes appeared.
"Why, hello there Adrianne."
