Bzzz!

Compared to the first time when he simulated the junkyard, this time, the junkyard was congested, making the battle tighter and more urgent.

This time, Andrew was not piloting a swordsman mech though neither was he piloting a Rifleman mech, rather he was piloting a Knight mech.

Within the past 2 days, he put even more effort into mastering his use of a Knight mech to increase his chances of completing Lucius' test.

One reason that motivated him was because of what Lucius Volstad told him 2 days ago after the test.

According to Lucius Volstad, he already spoke with Sergeant Theodore and if he managed to complete the test, the sergeant would rewrite the petition to conduct a test to see if he was ready to go back to the Philadelphus police.

If Andrew passed the sergeant's test, he would finally fulfill another of his dreams, entering the police again to face the world.

Since reincarnating into Planet Satera, Andrew had heard a lot about the world, about its exciting setting and all.

So far, Andrew only got exposed to mechs and it was inside the protective confines of the Lucius Mech Company.

He was yet to see real mech combat with his life on the line.

The only way to see this was by returning to the Philadelphus police and rebooting his career as a policeman.

He was hyped for it.

Another reason that pushed him to try even harder to pass the test was the reality of this world, the other part of Planet Satera, magics and mages.

This was a world where humans develop aptitude for either of 2 things, magic or mechs after all.

Andrew had seen mech pilots in abundance, he wanted to meet mages now.

What were they like?

Were they really just humans like the mech pilots?

Did they wear big baggy clothes like in the Harry Potter movies?

Heck! What were they like in general?

Andrew was so hyped to get the answer to all his questions, this was why he put so much effort into his training.

And finally, he honed his focus back on this simulation.

For the first time since activating his ultimate simulation system and using his daily simulation tickets, he disabled the teacher perk.

This time, Andrew wanted to face the simulation alone.

And for the first time, he spent the whole 30 minutes on a single simulation without dying or scrapping his mech once.

Andrew had four enemy mechs and mech pilots, a Swordsman mech, a Rifleman mech, a Light mech, and a Spearman mech.

When the simulation just started, they appeared together but soon after, they separated into a tight battle formation.

Making use of the blockades in this junkyard, the Swordsman mech rushed to the left while the Light mech rushed to the right, going into hiding.

The Rifleman mech retreated, gaining even more distance as he already raised his Laser Rifle and was in the process of aiming at the enemy.

And as for the Spearman mech, it charged directly towards him.

Andrew also charged forward fearlessly.

HUMMMM!

The Rifleman mech didn't unleash his payload immediately, instead, he took his time, charging the laser shot to gain even more power on it.

Andrew's knight mech blared alarms at him as he remained focused.

As this happened, Andrew finally made use of an advantage of his to level the playing field, using his computer system to simulate 3 most likely places that the Rifleman mech would attack.

The simulation was barely complete when the enemy mech pulled the trigger; it was a deadly attack straight at his cockpit from a tricky angle.

This attack sequence was the first one simulated by his computer system.

Prepared for it though, Andrew did not fall for the trick.

For any Knight mech, the normal reaction would be blocking with the knight shield of the mech but Andrew did not do this.

His computer system's simulation already told him the outcome of that.

If he blocked with his knight shield, the charged laser shot would deal too much damage to his shield, reducing his overall combat potential.

Blocking with the shield was the wrong choice.

'Wrong!' He heard that thing's voice roar in his head.

With a grin on his face, Andrew took the right decision.

As soon as the Rifleman mech pulled the trigger, he stabbed his sword at the nearby wall, destroying it in one blow as he rolled over through it.

This was not a normal human body; this was a giant 3-meter-tall machine.

Rolling over with a mech required great technique and control.

Andrew attempted it only because of his unrelenting practice for the past 3 weeks, and his hard work paid off, he got it right.

As soon as he broke the wall to the right, escaping from the sight of the Rifleman mech and the deadly charged attack, his computer system lit up with notifications before him.

He just found his first target, his plan from the very beginning.

{Property of Lucius Industries detected: Speed Demon T99}

{Mech size: Light}

{Mech type: Light Dagger Mech}

{Weapon armaments: Mech-grade twin Daggers; Laser Pistol!}

'Found you!' Andrew grinned inside his mech.

His attack plan was divide and conquer, that was the only way that he stood a chance of coming out of this simulation victoriously.

The junkyard was massive but due to all the obstacles everywhere, it was pretty congested for a Light mech to move at peak efficiency.

Andrew used this to his advantage, he cornered the Light mech.

Bam! Bam!

Immediately, the other mechs started rushing here to back up the Light mech.

The window to rescue their ally was just a minute or so but, in this time, before they got there, the battle already came to an end.

They only saw scraps of the previously intact Light Mech; the enemy was nowhere to be found.

Andrew already ended this battle and went into hiding again.

Shocked by what they were seeing, while they still tried to process what happened, that was when they heard it.

BAM!

A loud sound reverberated.

A Rifleman mech was the one always at the back of a mech formation, that thing already drilled this into Andrew's head numerous times.

Even as they came to back up their ally, the Rifleman mech was at the back and this gave Andrew the chance to pick him out.

Rifleman mechs were no good in close-combat.

Andrew picked him out.

Immediately, the Swordsman mech and the Spearman mech charged closer, trying to reinforce their ally, but simply bullying this Rifleman mech with his bigger frame into a tight corner, Andrew blocked the entrance with his giant knight shield.

With the shield blocking the way, the Rifleman mech's allies were kept at bay.

With his sword alone, Andrew scrapped this sitting duck to pieces.

When his knight shield finally moved, the Rifleman mech was already history.

And this time, with no more tricks to play, he took on the Spearman mech and Swordsman mech at the same time in a fair battle to the death.

Both mechs put up the most valiant of fights, scrapping his mech to its last legs, but in the end, by the tiniest of margins, Andrew won.

Andrew won!

He won at the 29th minute, 48th second of this simulation.

Immediately, his system lit up with a notification.

Staring at the reward before him, Andrew grinned. "I'm ready!"
