Onyx, the king's pet made a kill and quickly returned to his master while wiping away the traces of blood from his whiskers with his tongue. "Have you had a enough?" Sebastian asked as he patted his head, making the panther purr.
"Let's head back then" Sebastian said as they began to walk towards the royal carriage that was waiting along the pathway outside the forest. Sebastian felt his fangs tingling, he wanted to make a kill for himself but he craved a human now and not an animal. Naturally Vampire's are wired to feed on human blood but because of the hate the people of Denver had for the night creatures, heĀ could hardly hunt down and feed on any human he desired. He had to be smart about his killings if he had any.
They both walked out of the woods and entered the carriage that was large enough to fit the panther. Returning to the castle, Sebastian was greeted by Father Roberts who was seated in the throne room waiting on the king. Seeing Sebastian, Father Roberts stood up and bowed. "Good day father Roberts. How's your health?" Sebastian asked while walking towards his throne to sit gracefully.
"I can say I'm Hale and hearty milord. I was told by your advisor what you wanted to see me?" Father Roberts asked as he sat down.
"Oh yes. I'm planning to host something, something that will make the people in Irvington that have obtained dark magic to come together so you and the other bishops and priests can rid them off the dark magic" Sebastian informed.
"Oh that. But Milord, what do you think will make them all come together willingly? Most of them are probably in hiding already" Father Roberts stared.
"I have thought about that and I figured we should give them food. After all, it's the lack of it that made them go to the witches. When you feed a hungry man constantly, he slowly becomes your slave". Father Roberts pondered on what the king just said. It was true, one of the few things that can bring people together is free food!
"We'd make them gather at the square then give them some produce. During that moment, Benjamin and I can help you fish out some of them and then you can do what you do best" Sebastian concluded.
"When will this be Milord?" Father Roberts inquired.
"The day after tomorrow. Also, someone had dream about me" Sebastian said smiling and Father Roberts wondered why the king was smiling so widely not knowing the king was recalling the moment Mirabelle told him her dream and his eyes were glued to her as the words left her pink lips.
"What was the dream about Milord?". Hearing the Bishop's question, Sebastian narrated the dream and Father Roberts was left quiet for some seconds.
"I'd pray about it Milord." Father Roberts assured.
"Good...you can go now" Sebastian said as he stood up from his throne. He felt his fangs getting a little impatient and from where he was sitting, he could clearly hear the beating of Father Roberts' heart making it harder for him to control his bloodlust.
He could handle his bloodlust perfectly well till he met Mirabelle Nolan. The scent of her blood was already engraved in his mind and he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into that soft flesh he touched the time he healed her arm injury. He had already set his eyes on her and he was a hundred percent sure his interest wasn't going to waver anytime soon or ever. Once a Vampire's bloodlust is targeted towards a particular person it was really hard to control. It was like depriving a plant from having water or a human from having oxygen. He knew deep down that even though he drinks from someone else now, as long as it wasn't Mirabelle, the bloodlust won't stop but it'd be harder to control.
"But why do you think I dreamt about the king? I mean, out of everyone...why him?" Mirabelle's brows twisted as she conversed with her sister after she arrived back home with her father.
"Mirabelle, remember you're gifted. Remember the time you dreamt mother would have a shop and few months later it happened? Maybe this dream is a message for the king. Now you've told him, he'd know what to do" Gabrielle combed her sister's brown hair gently. Though the hair wasn't looking disheveled, she still combed it anyway because it was something she enjoyed doing.
"That's true. By the way, have you heard from Sir Thomas? How's the air between you two?" Mirabelle curiously asked making Gabrielle blink nervously.
"We are fine I guess. I haven't laid eyes on him for days now but I believe we are on good terms" Gabrielle answered.
