I wanted to know. Why did I wake up in Ariona's body?. What happened to the real her. The moon goddess never told me. I needed to know.
Alpha Cassio turned over heading to the couch that covered me, I sprang up, meeting his menacing gaze.
An eerie smile curling up on his filthy lips,
"Thought you would never come out weakling" he said with raised eyebrows.
I grinned. "I think you should take back what you said. '' I told him, he guffawed.
"Why?... what makes you think that you aren't a weakling"
I could feel veins popping
"I will show you" I told him as I darted towards him, almost crashing him against the sofa but he was quick to put his staff between us.
"What happened to Ariona?" I asked him with clenched teeth. His smile broadened, pissing me off.
We both held the staff moving it at each others direction, for balance.
"I knew that an Omega like Ariona wouldn't be so strong" he said
"And who told you that"
"You are not Ariona" he retorted.
I fought back pushing the staff further into the couch. But he still held himself from falling.
'He was still so strong even as Old as he was'
"How do you know that?" I asked. His creepy smile plastered on his face.
"Because I killed her" My eyes widened. I almost lost balance, but I couldn't let him win.
"You killed her… then why is she in front of you now" I asked
His dark eyes squinted at me.
"Because you are not her… I watched her die" he said, his voice livid with rage.
"But I did not die" I said
"Impossible" he replied, still clutching the staff. I felt a slight movement behind me.
I released the staff causing the Old Alpha Cassio to stagger back.
But I was too late. I was already surrounded.
Wolf glared at me. Looking at the guards in the room, I knew that I couldn't fight against them.
"Lock her up" I heard the Old Alpha say.
"Am not done with you, old man" I told him then I felt a sting on my neck as I succumbed to unconsciousness.
****
I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting them to the brightness of the room.
I looked around me; there was just an empty space in front of me and barrels stood at a far corner of the empty room.
I realized that I was sitting on a stool but I couldn't move. Looking down at my body, ropes were tied around my abdomen, tying me to the stool. I shook my body to release myself but to no avail.
My head spun, I remembered that they had injected something into my body. My body shook violently.
'What had they given me?' I felt myself get weaker and weaker but I still fought to stay awake.
"She's awake, Alpha Cassio" I heard Wolf's voice. It felt like I was having a migraine, seeing that Wolf looked like he had a twin brother, the Old Alpha Cassio looked like there were two of him in front of me.
"Did you give her too much of the dose?" I heard him ask.
"No, just enough to make her sleep"
Old Alpha Cassio bent over to me;
"Don't fight it and let it go," he said, dragging the last few words.
I felt myself relax at once and everything became lucid again.
"Wakey wakey, rise and shine" the old man jokes.
Momentarily, I closed my eyes, resisting the urge to punch this man in the face.
I remembered my hands were tied.
"Ariona… my sweet Ariona" he called with a sarcastic tone, walking around in circles.
"What do you want, Old Alpha Cassio… what do you really want?" I asked to earn a grin.
"It's very simple, Ari" he said.
"How did you survive?"
'What the hell' my eyebrows constricted as I glared at him.
Was he really asking that question… who asks their victims that kind of question.
"It was a miracle" I told him but he didn't seem to believe it.
"You wanted me dead but I survived, how bad is that"
He stopped pacing, and stood in front of me.
"I didn't want you dead, but someone did and the price she offered was just too difficult to resist" his words like darts, piercing into my body and causing blood to spill.
"She… who is she?" I asked to get silence.
"That can't be disclosed," he said nonchalantly. My gaze darkened.
Whoever wanted to kill Ariona, must have paid a huge sum for it, that this Old man refused to disclose anything about it.
'Whoever killed her will pay'
I shook my body again to remove the ropes but it was too tight for me.
"Don't bother struggling, this is just the beginning" the old Alpha Cassio said.
They all walked out of the room leaving me with the guard 'Wolf' and some other guards.
He walked over to where I sat, scanning me with his eyes. A playful smirk on his lips as he bent to face me,
"I told you to enjoy it while it lasts" he said
I did enjoy it… but I wanted to escape, I couldn't remain in this freaking place for a second longer when I knew I had a lot to do.
"You guys didn't give me enough time to enjoy it" I told him looking away.
He chortled. " You were the one that spoil your fun time," he said.
He grabbed my chin, his face cracking a smile. My eyes met his gaze "You are under my control now"
Of course I knew that, he doesn't have to remind me of my predicament. I scowled at him in disgust, he left the room, leaving me with the guards.
I shook my body violently but the rope remained the same way.
My head hung low as I thought of what the Old Alpha Cassio said, he had killed Ariona and he was following orders from a lady. I wished that I could find out the whole truth about all this.
Find out who ordered him to kill Ariona, then some questions will be answered and I can get justice for Ari.
Why did they bring me back… did they want to kill Ariona again. Was my second chance to seek justice going to be shattered before it even started?
"Lily" I heard Ana call
She must have noticed how tied up we were at the moment. After I had acted on my own impulse against the Old Alpha, she had gone to the back of my head and hadn't said a word since.
"Bounded again" she growled
I couldn't blame her. We were bound for 'I don't know how long' . I couldn't even tell what the time was, or how long we have been here.
My back ached from the pain of sitting and not moving, my legs were probably numb.
The headache I felt when I woke up had reduced a bit.
"We have to think of a way out of here," Ana said.
Just then, the door of the room flung open to reveal the Old Alpha Cassio and Wolf as they walked in with some other guards.
"Untie her" the old Alpha said. The guards made the move and soon the ropes were falling to my side. I tried to get up but I was stuck on my seat unmoving, every part of my body was numb from the pain.
"Help her up and bring her along," the Alpha added.
The guards pulled me from the seat and I winced, the pain shooting right to my head, although I struggled they still pulled me up.
Supporting me by both sides as they dragged me out of the room.
The headache came back again but it wasn't as much as before.
The Old Alpha Cassio opened a lock that was attached to the floor. Opening the lock, he opened a huge part of the wooden floor that looked like a door.
'The house had an underground'
Carefully they led me into the underground with the Old Alpha Cassio and Wolf, we walked into the underground, through a staircase that had started from the locked door.
There was a door at the end of the staircase. It glistened in the dark room. The Alpha took a torch from the lamps that were hung on the walls of the room.
Turning the door knob, we walked into the room, it felt so cold that my teeth were chattering. I subconsciously wrapped my arms around myself, hugging myself to feel warm but the others didn't budge, they weren't feeling the cold.
They were used to such a room.
"Were they going to lock me here?" I shivered.
The room was so cold that I could breathe in the air. We kept waking further till the Old Alpha Cassio stood at a transparent door.
"This is the place" he said
And there laid a body.
'The body of who?'
