They took their time to arrive at the hotel as it was evident since it was already turning dark. They waited for everyone to leave the parking lot which in itself took a lot of time and by 9:00 pm it was completely empty .( Just like my soul). "Andy you good cause you shaking up a little bit." "I'll address that later let's just get rid of the corpse." They covered Cassie's body with a shoal which was luckily in the car and took an alternate route to reach the waterfall without passing through the hotel. Before tossing the body into the dark abyss which seemed more eerie at night than at day ,"Should we say something, like prayers or a farewell." "Ash just throw the damn thing." And with that the body made it's fast descent into the ominous void but strangely they never heard it hit the ground.
"Since that's taken care of Andy I hope this serves as a lesson." Andrew was still unwilling to believe that Cassie was dead so he covered his face with his face. Ashley noticing this just took a stream of water from the glistening waterfall which was sparkling in the moonlight by cupping her hands and threw it at Andrew who was momentarily stunned and looked at Ashley ," There's something seriously wrong with you."
"Thank you but I get enough of that from my therapist." It was meant to be a harmless joke but Andrew on the outside doing fine but internally having a meltdown. Ashley closed the distance between them and hugged him making the scene a little weird but they were the only ones here so no one took sight of this. After that they got back in the car and Andrew was starting to feel a little bit better then about to start the car Ashley moved from her seat and sat on Andrew's lap with a stoic expression,"I hope you learned your lesson my beloved brother. Try a stunt like that again and the consequences will be much worse than this. I don't want to see you with any other bitches around you cause I'm one possessive gal." Andrew was skeptical about this but given Ashley's face he remarked ,"Fine, for you I'll do as you please. Can we leave now." " Sure thing Andyyyyy." Her face suddenly perking up out of the blue and they made their escape back home with Ashley still on Andrew's lap and seemingly fell asleep with a peaceful face. Andrew thought ,'To think that this little girl is capable of killing without a second thought is resting peacefully on my lap.'
He wondered whether he should wake her up now or wait in which he chose. Turning off the cars lights he made himself comfortable and turned on the radio but to a low volume not to disturb Ashley. He contemplated whether they would get caught or not and the possible variations of getting out of this mess but before he knew it, he too fell asleep. A towering shadow emerged from the distance and hovered above the glass window at the driver seat for a moment before knocking on it. It seemed to wake Ashley first who then woke Andrew. He tried looking at the person but he could only see the silhouette peering in the car before his phone rang. It was his mother so he picked up ,"Andrew can you get out of the car. I've been knocking on the glass trying to wake you up." It was then that he realized that it was his mother outside so he got out of the car Ashley leading then he followed suit.
They called it a day resting in their separate rooms and a few days went by without a hitch. When they were asked were Cassie they would respond with ,"She left after we were done with the party. We're pretty sure she went home though. Maybe something happened." They - police - didn't find anything off so they continued with their goose chase looking for the culprit unaware they were looking right at them. Life for Andrew certainly took one hell of a turn. He would spend most of his days with Ashley keeping her out of trouble and going along with her antics and escapades. At times he was tempted to report the matter but Ashley would constantly tease ,"Come on Andy 3
It was a regular Saturday when Lucy and Andrew were preparing themselves unknown to Ashley who inquired with a quizzical look ," Where are you guys going?" Lucy now realizing something," It seems that I forgot to tell you that Andrew has a lung cancer. We're going for our monthly appointment though we won't be gone for long." Ashley wore a worried expression ,"Okay. Well feel better Andy. Cause who I'm I suppose to play with if you're not here." "You sure can come up with something up like an imaginary friend hehe." Andrew teased before he left with his mother. Ashley took this opportunity to start browsing through Andy's room though she didn't find much or anything ordinary.
After she was done snooping around, she left the room better than it was as it surely a mess. Clothes were all over the floor and his bed had an indefinite amount of lumps and creases all over it but she took it upon herself to clean it up and left the room only to run into Andrew the moment she was done. With a glaring expression, "What are you doing ?" Ashley fumbling with her words '"I was cleaning your room for you. And for that I deserve a treat, don't you think Andy." Andrew looked in his room looking for anything out of place but couldn't find shit," So you did. Fine what do you want provided it's something within my capability." "What I want is simple. Your soul hehehe." Andrew brushed it off and went into his room slamming it shut but Ashley somehow got in.
"So how did it go with your appointment. Are you gonna die or what?" A simple tease but Andrew replied ," You are right Ashley it is that bad and I'm gonna by the end of the week." Ashley looked at Andrew to see a serious expression not to her expectations ,"You're joking right."
"Ashley, does it look like I'm in the mood for jokes. This ailness of mine has proven to be quite trouble some for the doctors to overcome. Not to mention it was noticed during it's final stages so not much can be done about it." He put on his headphones and drowned his worries in music with a nonchalant expression. He continued ,"I was planning on spending the last few days with the ones that were close to me but you would just scare them off. So it looks like I got you." Giving Ashley a hug with a small smile popping up on his face.
She still couldn't believe that the most important person who actually cared about her was about to perish but it was the cold hard reality she was facing. They spent the day locked up within his room just chilling enjoying each other's company until Lucy barged in. "Okay, I have had enough with you two. Why is it that most of the time I find the both of you together. I understand Ashley you're still recovering from the death of your father and Andrew you have cancer but for God's sake just spend the rest of the day separately." The two step-siblings looked at their mother but neither were willing to move from their positions so she raised her voice to assert dominance ,"WHEN I SAID TO TAKE A BREAK FROM EACH OTHER I MEANT NOW !"
They could only heed and Ashley took her leave out of the room looking at Andrew until she was out of sight ,"Andrew it's for your own good." "Thank you mom." But there was no smile on his face. Well for the rest of the day Andrew spent it in his room while Ashley spent it with Lucy going out to run errands. None of these two psychopaths were happy with this change but it certainly was clear on Ashley's face as she had a stoic expression similar to Andrew's but her's was more of a brooding mood.
On Sunday Lucy was trying her hardest to convince Andrew to go to church and it wasn't much of a struggle to her surprise but we all know the reason why. So of course the duo sat together and Andrew actually confessed after realizing something ignoring the angelic singing of the choir who were adorned it black and white clothing both genders ,"I can't believe that I'm actually finding your company pleasurable." Ashley leaned into Andrew but unlike the hundreds of times he would find this weird and push away or move back he accepted her embrace. "I told you that you will be mine and you are." Letting out a small cute chuckle making the scene mistakable for two people in love with each other but were they was a question in Andrew's mind.
He looked up at the colourfully and beautiful ceiling which seemed unattainable like the Roman Catholic church praising the the almighty deity. The walls looked as if it was wearing down but that only made it look more authentic. He then looked at the spiritual leader at the altar and surprising enough it would seem that he was looking right at him with a deadly stare from his seat up at the second floor. It was a neat position to sit at given most of the congregation sat at the bottom wearing their best masking what they really are but where they were only a few people were present not particularly paying attention to the sermon either or browsing through their phones.
Looking back at the Father he was still playing his game of looks could kill with Andrew but he was generally puzzled ,"Is it me or is the leader looking right at me Ash?" But he retracted his gaze and continued to look at the congregation "No. You are just freaking out, that's all. Who wouldn't knowing that you helped in committing murder and now you're sins are being judged by God through him." Due to the uncomfortable atmosphere Andrew decided to leave in the name of getting some fresh air alone. He looked up in the sky avoiding the sun's harmful rays wondering whether what Ashley said was true or not.
After a few moments of pondering his life choices he went back inside to find the sermon already over. Without wasting any time he found Ashley and his mother who was in the choir. "What did I tell you two about spending time with each other. I saw the both of you sitting together for the entire duration of the sermon so don't play smart with me Andrew. Come on, we're leaving." Andrew wasn't really up for a conversation seeing her mother so infuriated telling by her stern look and well Ashley was just quiet with her mood taking a sharp turn from her earlier happier expression. The ride back just like as expected was dead silent with everyone minding in their own business entertaining the muses that sprung up in their mind. After reaching home the atmosphere didn't change at all as if anything it got worse than before.
Pretty much the was pretty wasted so the day that followed after Lucy had left for work Andrew took the initiative of taking Ashley out for a walk. They dressed for the cold weather outside and during the stroll ,''My, my Andy. If it wouldn't dampen your plans would you mind telling me where you plan on taking me." "You'll find out when we get there." They continued with their stroll down the street which was bustling with people absorbed in their worlds accompanied with noise which covered the place but nevertheless they continued till they appeared infront of a pawn shop.
"You took me to a pawn shop. Not very romantic." With a pouting face Ashley saw the establishment infront of her but she was forcefully dragged in by Andrew. Ashley browsed through the antics and knick knacks on display whilst Andrew went straight to the counter where the owner was. After she was done sight seeing she came to Andrew and saw him conversing with a man who appeared to be in his late forties. He had a haggard face with a white shirt stained with grease spots and a pair of brown pants and to conceal this he wore an overall.
