As Anastasia escaped Zane's office, the cool air outside offered little relief from the lingering discomfort. She stepped out of the elevator and noticed the commotion at the assistant's table, though she acted nonchalantly.
"Have you forgotten I am your boss's fiancée? How dare you stop me from meeting him?" Jane's voice rang through the office, furious that Zane's assistant had stopped her.
She couldn't imagine what must have been happening between Zane and Anastasia, whom the assistant told her of.
"I told you, Mr. Morris is still busy with his visitor and instructed me not to let anyone in," the assistant explained for the third time, obstructing Jane's way.
"She isn't a client, and you want me to wait here? I have something important to say to Zane! Move aside!" Jane yelled, pushing the assistant aside and sauntering towards the elevator, almost bumping into the seductive Anastasia.
