In a swift reflex, Margot pushed Lilith away and jerked up from the floor. Margot's face contorted in pain and anger. "Get your hands off my card! Work harder yourself!" she growled, struggling to retrieve the card from Cecilia.
She couldn't let her ungrateful family squander her hard-earned money when they never treated her right.
"Why are you being greedy, Margot? We can share your wealth since we're family," Cecilia said, stubbornly refusing to relinquish the wallet.
"No, I won't share with someone who still sees me as a curse. Spending my money will only bring ominous consequences," Margot insisted, snatching the wallet from Cecilia's hand.
As Margot gathered her belongings, she left the scene with a bitter expression, while Cecilia and Lilith followed behind.
