Idrus was taken aback by the unexpected presence of the high dowager in his chambers. He quickly wrapped himself in a towel, feeling a mix of annoyance and curiosity. It seemed like his people were becoming more unpredictable by the day. He wondered why she had entered without an invitation, unless there was something important she needed to discuss.
"My lord, I apologize for the intrusion. I didn't mean to come at an inconvenient time," the dowager stammered, avoiding eye contact with Idrus.
"It's forgiven, but this cannot happen again," Idrus asserted firmly. The dowager nodded, her face still flushed with embarrassment. As Idrus grabbed another towel to dry his hair, he motioned for her to speak.
