"I deeply apologize for this situation. Had I known that this would occur, I would have never brought you here," Rafael expressed sympathetically, gently placing his hand on Iridessa's head as she sobbed on his chest. Her tears stained his shirt, but he didn't mind.
"No, it's not your fault entirely, although the place does play a part..." Iridessa managed to say amidst her puffy red eyes and runny nose. Rafael smiled warmly at her and pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket, carefully wiping her face and nose. Iridessa blushed with embarrassment, realizing how disheveled she must have looked with her mascara smudged and her nose filled with mucus.
"I truly apologize for ruining our outing and staining your shirt," Iridessa apologized, attempting to clean the mess from his shirt, but only making it worse. She cringed at her futile attempts, and Rafael chuckled, gently removing her hands from his chest and retrieving another handkerchief to clean himself.
