As Indiana flashed a smile at him, Nathaniel winced in pain as her hand made contact with his head. He groaned and instinctively held onto his throbbing head.
"Ouch, why did you do that?" Nathaniel questioned, rubbing his head. He brushed past her and entered the room, leaving Indiana standing at the door. She let out a sigh and closed the door behind her, turning to face him. Her eyes immediately caught sight of the wet and dirty footprints he was leaving behind with his boots.
"Oh no, look at the mess you've made," Indiana exclaimed, frustration evident in her voice. Before she could finish her sentence, Nathaniel turned to face her, his nostrils flaring as if he had caught a whiff of something unpleasant. Indiana glanced around, trying to identify the source of the smell. Her gaze fell upon the dirty ground and then back to Nathaniel.
