With the Abyssal Acorn in hand, Duke swiftly annihilated the creatures one by one. According to his system, machinery instruments were ineffective against these creatures, so he relied on the Acorn. Unbeknownst to him, however, the Acorn's color shifted from blue to red as he continued his silent slaughter. This caught the attention of the Skarv, a detail Duke missed in his focused onslaught.
Duke raised the instrument, poised to strike down one more creature, which would clear a path for him to navigate through the burrow. But just as he was about to deliver the fatal blow, his trusty Viewpoint skill suddenly sprang to life. His ears perked up, and he detected a strange, wheezing sound emanating from somewhere in the vicinity.
He scanned his surroundings, trying to pinpoint the source of the noise, and that's when he noticed the creature he had been targeting was now scurrying away in fear.
