The portal reappeared, its swirling energies enveloping Dominique and Duke before spitting them out into a new location. Dominique stepped out with ease, while Duke stumbled out, his eyes bleary and his stomach churning. He felt a sudden wave of nausea wash over him, and his hand flew to his mouth as he struggled to contain the bile rising in his throat.
"Isn't there, like, a railway or something?" he managed to croak, his voice shaky, once he'd settled the lump in his throat.
Dominique chuckled and clapped him on the back. "It'll get better," he said with a grin.
'Right,' Duke thought, 'I've almost forgotten the deal I made with him back in that Hell cave. At least, I have fewer people tailing me now.'
