Chapter 31 - 31

It's the fourth day today and by now almost every game is coming to an end. My husband's team won Polo as everyone expected, badminton however was won by His Majesty and his sister, Princess Alicia. I didn't even knew they teamed up together. And now most of the people have started to relaxed and enjoy their time here.

The boat race was going to be held today so all of us went to the nearby lake. I see Heinz talking with some younger servants, it seems they're a team. I get worried since he's a lot older than those there but in the end my eagerness to win took over and I started cheering for him. It's an event for all, both servants and nobles so everyone was cheering for their respective teams. I see the ladies fussing about how their servants was the best. I see gents giving a motivational speech although it seems no one wants to hear them. I finally landed my eyes on my husband, he was talking to Heinz and his teammates and soon they got all fired up. The prize was a vacation at Durin Mountains.

A vacation at the mountains isn't all that appealing but if you have a luxurious cabin up their then the scenery will take your breath away. Not too high but not too low either, the cabin was built for a relaxing vacation with a hot spring nearby so anyone will have a calm mind if you go there. The servants are the ones who are fired up, for a working adult who wouldn't want a vacation plus you get to take your family too.

"Shall we take a walk?" I heard my husband whispered in my ear. I looked up to see him so close behind me, his hands on my waist. He must've felt how fat I was. I stared at Heinz who was rowing the boat with the younger servants. As if reading my mind he continued, "Heinz will be fine."

With that he took my hand and I followed. We walked by the edge of the forest, a few hours later he will go inside again to hunt. Neither of us spoke as we walked side by side. I couldn't think of anything to talk about.

"How are you?" He started.

I looked at him and saw his face, a smile plastered on that handsome face, I'm more than happy to see him like this everyday but I could only answer, "Good".

"I see did you enjoy the game yesterday? How was it?"

"I did. I've never played like that before so it's a first for me. I really enjoyed it."

The wind blew and his hair along with mine intertwine as they sway in the air. I noticed that he no longer wears that blue ribbon now. I felt good knowing this. "It's good" he suddenly said. I looked up to him all confused as to what he was saying.

"The book I mean. It's an interesting book....I hope you can recommend me some too rather than hearing from His Majesty." He looked embarassed with a blush. He's too cute, how can my husband go from handsome to this cutie in a matter of seconds.

So he did talked with His Majesty and I guess the later must've said something about the book. From them on we had something to talk about. For hours we walked around and talked about the book.

Time went by as he left to go hunt again. Everyday the animals that the hunters killed was brought back into the kitchen to be made for food. There's so many mouths to feed including the servants, workers, and also the nobles.

I walked by the forest once again, this time alone, I guess I didn't really looked up until now as the sky started to darkened. Surely if it rains the hunt for today would be cancelled right? Without a warning the rain suddenly began and it envelope the Sheshire Halls and the forest. I guess all the games are cancelled now which is a pity between only two days are left for all of us to enjoy. Tomorrow the hunting session will end and will determine the winner. And then the next day would be the final feast for all.

I stood under a tree watching the rain go down. It's a little chilly but I liked it. I liked the sound, the wind, I watched people go inside in a hurry. The ladies ran not wanting to get their dresses wet, which reminds me, I looked down and saw that my dress was already wet by the ends and i could even see a bit of mud on it.

I only stood by the edge of the forest and I saw the hunters coming out one by one running from the rain to get inside. "Damn! Didn't think it would rain this bad." I heard a person's voice behind to me. I turned around to see His Majesty, taking shelter under the same tree. He looked worn out as he ran out of the forest I guess. He looked up and saw me, he quickly compose himself.

"Duchess what are you doing here? You should go inside." He said.

I looked at him, ignoring his words I asked, "My husband, is he back yet?" I never saw him ran out so I asked.

His majesty looked at me, "So you're waiting for him. Don't worry, he'll come out. It's just he went a little far that's all."

The rain was still going down heavily so we both stayed for a while. There was silence but it didn't feel any awkward. I feel like there's some kind of understanding between his majesty and I.

"Duchess, would you be okay if I ask a few questions?" He said. His eyes staring at the Sheshire Halls. I said of course.

"Do you feel like you can trust a person who loved someone else and not you?"
