Hey you all that is reading my story, would you believe me when I say that I left my husband? I finally realised that we were never meant to be. Took me a while to get here and i hope i haven't bore you yet. But I wanted to say I did it. I left him. I didn't feel anything at all.
All those years of being in love felt like a waste as now it didn't hurt when I left. It was funny though we sat in his office one day and i told him I wanted to leave and he said okay. Our divorce is still in progress so legally I'm still his wife. No one knows I'm no longer the Duchess of Valentine House. I do wonder how they'll react. Pretty sure they'll be cheering for my husband.
I'm staying in Jared's room now. Sometimes I found myself hoping that at least his ghost would haunt me but till now there's been no haunting. I guess in the end ghosts are just made up story.
It's been a week since I left. I have money but I don't wanna go somewhere else. I alone run the bar now as Mary was busy with the housing complex.
Another day, another early morning. It's great living by the sea, you sometimes get a breeze from the window to cool you down. It's been hard though opening a diner in the morning by myself. I tried my best to produce the best food but in the end it's not as good as Jared's.
I plan on hiring new staffs but for now I'll do it on my own. Who knew living a life of a commoner is much more better than to live as a Duchess. I don't see any maids throwing looks at me and no nobles whispering any nonsense. I should go out to shop for ingredients.
"Oh Good morning lady. 9 pounds of steak correct?" The butcher asked with a smile. It's a genuine smile one that I haven't gotten used to yet. It seems as though everyone knows everybody here. People would stop and chat with each other.
"Yes please. And please deliver it to the bar."
The people here didn't know what happened to Jared. Most of them living by the sea don't really care what happens in the capital it seems. For that I'm thankful. It takes more than an hour to go from here to the heart of the capital so I get why these people don't bother with anything.
The market place is busier as always. It's in the early morning that you get fresh stuffs. It's like they said early bird catches the worm.
I thought I would miss it. My old life in a mansion with servants and a title but no I have never once thought of it till now if course. I guess it's because I experienced that life. The world works in wonderful ways, the poor wants to be rich and some rich people simply wanted to live like a normal people.
For a while i walked around and finally came back to the bar. It's time to open the diner now. I have finished the preparations.
Once again i feel happy when I flipped the sign on the door from closed to open.
It didn't take long for the bell to ring with my first customer coming in.
"Welcome to Vivi Dine and Bar."

"Master these needs to be approved by you." Heinz said as he gave a stack of papers to Ceaser.
"Why do I feel like my work has been increased lately?" The man sighed in a tired voice.
"The Duchess used to take care of them but she's not here so I apologise for pushing them on you." Heinz obediently replied.
The man stopped whatever he was doing for a second and continued. There was silence in the room, only the sound of papers being flipped but both of them knew what the other meant.
"Hm keep it on the table." Ceaser said without looking up.
Lately the mansion has been quiet. It was quiet before but not like this. Now it just felt empty.
"I shall bring your dinner in your room later sire." Heinz said as he bowed and left his master to work.
Ceaser was left alone to this thoughts. He felt that as though this house was a waste of space now. He didn't eat at the dining room, the only rooms he use was his own bedroom and this office. When that woman here, he would sometimes see her in some corner of the mansion doing something. But right now there's no one here to use this many rooms.
Once again he sighed as he leaned back and rub this forehead. Lately he has been experiencing headache. The Empress kept calling him to discuss small matters, matters that doesn't require a Duke to step in.
And the Emperor.... Ah yes what would drive two men to split apart, the answer would obviously be a woman and that's exactly what's happening right now. The once two best friends are now like strangers and nothing more.
It didn't take long before the sun finally sets and Ceaser got up from his chair and left for his room. But as if his feet had no control they carried him to the dining room. Empty. Why did he come here again? He thought. There was always someone waiting for him to eat dinner in this room by now but now it's just a dark room.
"I forgot there's no one." He said to himself and went upstairs to his room. Heinz will up here in a while so the man took off his clothes and went to bath.
A nice soothing bath it was. The warm water on his skin was calming. He laid in the tub for a while and closed his eyes. His long hair spread on the water surface. If you didn't know he was a human you would think that an angel was sleeping on the bath tub.
Perhaps he must've fallen asleep for even though his eyes are closed his eyes were seeing a particular person. He remembered the dance he shared with this person on that night of the festival. How this person smell and how this person's hair glitter in the night.
"Sire dinner is ready." He heard a voice interrupting of this beautiful memory. And then it was gone. The person vanished when he opened his eyes.
When Heinz saw his Master came out he knew something was wrong for his Master was glaring at him. 'Oh no was he pleasuring himself in the bathroom. Forgive this foolish servant Sire." He silently apologized to his Master in this thoughts.
