Chapter 14 - Hell has arrived(3)

"The good news is that, as you don't yet have enough monster cores to exchange for a transportation scroll, the deities have taken pity on your situation and have offered to buy scrolls for you!"

"We are going to get saved, thank you god!"

"HAHAHAHA"

The floor buzzed with commotion, merry talks, and joyful shouts.

On one hand were people like some of the high school kids hugging each other. People shouting in happiness or people crying or bent down on the ground thanking god.

There also were people like Angela, suspicious. Seeing the empty half of the glass. People believing nothing good ever happens unless it is evil in disguise.

"I am not done! It is too soon to be happy! As I earlier said too, there is also bad news too!"

The manager's voice pierced through the crowd and made the happy commotion into an anxious one.

"You manager bastard, what do you want from us?"

" I will kill you, you XXXX! Do we seem like a joke to you ?"

The crowd became full of tension, and mostly curses directed towards the manager. The manager's voice came again.

"The bad news is that the deities, not yet confident about your worth, are only reluctantly providing 100 scrolls."

People started counting the surrounding people.

"How many are we?" shouted the creepy handsome guy, Daniel, impatiently.

"In your floor, there are 100 people.." said the manager.

"But the deities are providing 100 scrolls for everyone in the entire building." He added before anyone could feel happy about his response.

Another commotion started as the manager finished saying the bad news.

"Who gets one?" "What is the criteria?" "Deity nim. Please save me!"

"Who gets a scroll will get decided by.." With the manager's voice silenced everyone.

"...You!"

"What is this, some kind of game? Are joking with us? Can you talk without pause or do you want us to die out of frustrations?" Angela shouted out everyone's minds.

"I'm not explaining cause it's hard to explain! You better see for yourself!" Manager answered in a frustrated tone.

A second later, everyone understood what he meant as the system window opened before their eyes.

"He will finally be the death of me!" Angela cried out, seeing Andrey's name.

However, that wasn't the only familiar name on the list. 'Lots of Abbott!'

Angela looked at the now lively and determined crowd. Socializing and trying to score votes with whatever means they could or wondering how to do so.

Unlike them, she didn't have plans to do futile actions, so she just located four of her votes. There wasn't much to think about.

She started by touching Andrey's name. She couldn't really think of a good reason, so she just wrote a fact.

Then, it was Mikaels turn. Looking at his face, she wrote for the same reason.

Thereafter, with little thinking, she did the same for Anders. When reluctantly touched Andrea's name, she decided to just write something to piss him off.

The system sent a message to everyone in the shopping center.

[ One vote has been allocated to Andrey King!

 Reason: His handsome face!

One vote has been allocated to Mikael Abbott!

One vote has been allocated to Anders Abbott!

A second later, the -11th floor got filled with angry shouts and curses.

"Who the hell gave those votes? Do you really think these rich bastards deserve to live?" said a high school boy with hate while glaring at Mikael.

Angela kind of regretted what she did, but there were no turn backs. She realized she might just have ruined everyone's survival chances without having intended to.

"His right! Are we really going to give the survival chance to the ones that live sucking our bloods and tears? All the rich should die! You know what it is all their fault that this is happening!" said a high school girl looking at his fellow high school children, of whom mostly nodded their heads.

"Sol Young, noted to avoid," Angela murmured under her breath as she gazed at the high schooler girl's nameplate.

"Noted!!" a voice come from her side. It was Mikael, tightly hugging unconscious Anders, nodding with a serious expression.

Another angry high school boy was shouting angrily that the system flood everyone with massages. Something even unexpected for Angela accrued.

"Which lunatic gave them a vote for this kind of-"

However, despite how big she cut the slices and gave them out, she didn't make a bigger sale and still had lots of the Items left in the inventory.

Now that it was coming back to her like this, she didn't know how to feel about it. Well, at least they realized the effort she was putting in and even complimented her. Being called a beauty is a good thing, right?

'I still have 96 votes. Should I just wait for the system to allocate them automatically...?' she wondered while looking at the holographic window.

Angela felt like people were staring at her. She looked beyond the window. The scene before her was absurd and horrifying. Lots of people with different expressions were walking in her direction. Men, women, young and old.

"What in the world is this.." she mumbled with a raised eyebrow.
