Seraiya just looked at him, unsure of what to do. That was when the earth began to shake. "Seraiya you need to control yourself," Kyra said as everyone was bracing themselves. "SHUT UP!" Seraiya snapped turning to Kyra as her eyes gave off a golden glow.
"Rai" Damien said making her turn back to him. "I thought you were dead," Seraiya said. "I couldn't feel you anymore," she said as she looked at Damien with teary eyes. "I'm not dead," he told her.
Seraiya didn't know how to feel at this moment. She only stared at Damien. She was relieved to know he was alive but her heart filled with pain as she thought of that day. "Are you ready to come home now?" he asked.
Seraiya turned to look at Amani, then looked at the group of people who had come to see her for a reason she still didn't understand. "I can't," Seraiya said as she looked back at Damien. "What do you mean? You can't? Damien asked taking a step towards her.
"It's not safe for me for you for our family for anyone," she told him. "Rai, That's not true," Damien said walking towards her.
Suddenly both Seraiya and Damien went flying backwards. "Seraiya!" Amani yelled before running to her and helping her up. "Are you ok?" Amani asked as Seraiya watched the unknown vampire that was beside Damien put him down after catching him. "I'm fine," Seraiya told Amani.
"What was that?" Seraiya asked turning to Kyra. "Oh, can I finally speak now?" Kyra asked sarcastically. "Twin witches are almost always born with the same wavelength of magic. Since they're born together the magic is already in sync but if they're separated for a long enough period both their magic will become used to separation and next time when they come into contact they'll… well… push away from each other" Kyra explained.
"So what we can't be near each other?" Damien asked. "Yes and no" if you stay near each other you should be fine after a few days" Kyra answered.
"Great, so she can come home," Damien said. "No," Seraiya told him. "I can't" she added. "What do you mean you can't?" he asked. "We spent over 2 months looking for you we can't just leave you here," he told her.
"I barely have control of my magic and no matter where I am I'm constantly being hunted," Seraiya told him. "The other day Amani was out in danger because once again, thank you someone was after me" she added. "I can't continue to put others in danger," she said. "That goes for all of you too," she said turning to the small group of witches and wolves.
"And what am I supposed to tell Mom and Dad?" Damien asked. "There's no way they'll leave you here alone," he said. "I'm not alone" Seraiya replied. "Over the past 2 months I have never been alone" she added.
"I'm staying here with you," he said taking a step forward and making Seraiya take a step back. "You can't," she told him. "They need you there more than they need me," she told him.
"Seraiya please," Piper said suddenly appearing behind Damien. Seraiya only looked at Piper. "I'm sorry Mommy," Seraiya said as a tear fell from her cheek. "revertetur in terram suam," Seraiya said making Piper and Damien disappear.
"Where did you learn that spell?!" Kyra asked shocked. "Anya" Seraiya replied simply. Seraiya looked up at Kyra. "She was trying to learn it too," Kyra said with a cold and distant look on her face.
"No!" Piper yelled as her fists hit the ground. "I'm going back," Piper said standing up and turning to walk away "You can't," Damien said solemnly not moving from the spot he stood. "Of course I can she belongs here with us she's your sister my daughter…." "She feels saved there," Damien told her. "If you drag her back by force she will never come home" he added.
"Damien I'm sorry but you don't get a decision in this," Piper said turning away from him again. "YOU DIDN'T SEE HER FACE THE MOMENT SHE SAW ME!" Damien yelled forcing his mother to come to a stop.
"You didn't see the pain, the fear, the relief, in her eyes," Damien told her. "When the words - I thought you were dead, I couldn't feel you anymore - came out of Rai's mouth all I wanted was to bring her home" he added. "But she doesn't want to come home, she doesn't feel safe here," he told her. "And why should she?" he asked. "When the gods infected her with an illness meant to kill her and when she was taken and watched parts of the pack burn," he said.
Piper fell to her knees and began to wipe her eyes as tears fell from them. "All I've ever wanted was to protect you," she said "Both of you, and I've only failed" she cried. "Then get stronger," Damien told her. His look was still dark and his voice cold.
"Let's give her a reason to feel safe here again," he told Piper.
Seraiya stood next to Amani as Aaron went into the cell the vampire who took her was in. "And here I thought you'd never come," the man said as he looked up at Aaron before looking at Seraiya.
"You don't have to stay if you don't want to" Amani whispered in Seraiya's ear. Seraiya stayed silent as she just continued to stare at the vampire. "Who are you?" Aaron asked as Seraiya continued to stare back at the vampire. "She wants you," the vampire said as he stared into Seraiyas eyes.
"Who wants her?" Aaron asked. "And she will get you," he said not breaking eye contact with Seraiya. Aaron suddenly picked up the vampire by the throat cracking the wall as he shoved him against it. "Talk to me I'm the one asking the question" Aaron growled. The vampire turned his head his eyes went from a red to a bright pink. "She will have her," the vampire told her "Sooner or later Seriaya Mason will belong to the Hive," he said before suddenly turning to dust.
