"Tough times never last, but tough people do."

Zack smirked while rushing toward Daniel, his eyes locked on Daniel's figure flying through the air. But soon after, his eyes met Daniel's white irises and black sclera, a sign of his Ultra Instinct.
Daniel steadied himself mid-air before landing on his feet, wiping a bit of dust from his cheek. Zack was already charging at him, fists raised, moving with precision and speed. He aimed another punch at Daniel's chest, but this time Daniel dodged to the side with minimal movement.
Zack wasn't fazed. He quickly adjusted and came at Daniel with a combination of jabs and hooks, using the iron boxing technique he'd been mastering. His movements were sharp and efficient, but Daniel blocked each one, countering with quick strikes of his own.
The two showed clear improvements in their fighting styles. Zack's boxing had become faster and more powerful, and his physique had reached the level of a fortress, capable of taking attacks without sustaining damage.
Even though Daniel's punches and kicks weren't light, Zack continued to absorb them while unleashing extremely fast jabs and crosses, pushing Daniel back with his speed.
Zack ducked under a kick from Daniel and stepped inside his guard, throwing a fast uppercut to Daniel's chin. The punch connected, making Daniel's teeth grind, but he absorbed the impact, only moving his head upward as a shockwave shot into the sky.
"Your punches are getting better," Daniel said calmly. "But you still rely too much on speed."
Zack smirked. "That's because it works."
He threw another punch, but this time Daniel caught his wrist, twisting it slightly before sweeping Zack's legs out from under him and landing an elbow blow right after.
Boom!
Zack smashed into the ground, creating a big crater, with stone bricks flying around. His body showed no injuries despite taking the full hit head-on. He quickly rolled back to his feet, shaking off the dust.
Daniel shifted his stance, his movements fluid as he transitioned from Muay Thai to a Taekwondo kicking stance. Without warning, he unleashed an axe kick aimed at Zack's head.
Zack managed to block it, but the force of the kick pushed his feet deeper into the ground. He gritted his teeth from the sheer power of the attack. Even without mastery, Daniel had reached a high level of speed, durability, and strength!
But Zack's durability and speed were his strongest assets. His eyes glowed, shifting from green to blue as he grinned and moved at high speed, catching Daniel off guard. Zack's foot met Daniel's abdomen, sending him crashing tens of meters away.
Daniel rolled on the ground but quickly launched himself into the air with a handstand, just as Zack appeared where he had been moments ago, his fist deeply embedded in the ground, creating another massive crater.
Zack grinned as he looked up at Daniel, who smiled faintly in return, his black eyes with white pupils giving Zack an eerie feeling.
Time seemed to slow down as the stare-down continued for what felt like an eternity until Daniel landed. Zack got up and walked toward him, with Daniel doing the same.
The two stood face to face, motionless. If it weren't for the shockwaves and afterimages around them, one might think they were just staring at each other.
The afterimages slowly faded as Daniel and Zack reappeared hundreds of meters away, deep inside the nearby forest, where Daniel caught Zack inside his newly improved CQC technique.
This time, different from when he used it against Gun, there was only a single black circle, but it spanned thirty meters.
After practicing against Gongseob, Daniel had perfected the technique, making it more powerful and faster. Instead of numerous circles, this version only required one, larger in size.
Inside it, Daniel could land every hit he threw, but if he attacked only once, the blow would be exponentially stronger.
Zack's skin crawled as he felt the line surrounding him and Daniel. His whole body screamed at him to defend with everything he had.
"Heh, this one's designed to take down the top tiers, so be honored," Daniel said as he disappeared and reappeared behind Zack, who took a defensive stance, using his durability mastery to its fullest.
But it wasn't enough...
A second later, Zack's body floated upwards as his eyes widened in pain and shock.
BOOM!
A massive force slammed into Zack's abdomen. What was even more surprising was that there was no shockwave. Daniel, with his Ultra Instinct, had managed to focus every bit of kinetic energy into the punch, causing Zack to take the full brunt of the attack.
Zack's eyes turned white as his consciousness faded. This was the strongest attack he'd ever taken, and it managed to break through his fortress-like defense.
He fell to the ground, unconscious.
Daniel smiled as he began to walk away. "It was good, but tonight you'll be sleeping outside, my friend-" He stopped mid-sentence as he felt Zack's aura deepen. He turned, amusement flickering across his face. "Oh?"
Zack slowly got up, coughing. He looked at the sky and smiled. "Thanks, Daniel. Thanks to that hit, I've finally figured out what I needed to do…"
He turned to face Daniel, whose eyebrow raised. Zack's eyes were glowing, but not with mastery, this was something else...
[Conviction.]
"If I'm going down, I'm going to make sure you don't win easily," Zack declared.
Daniel didn't give Zack time to recover. He rushed forward, switching styles once again, this time using Muay Thai. He unleashed a series of elbows and knees, but Zack dodged effortlessly, his glowing blue eyes tracking every move.
'His speed has increased,' Daniel thought, noticing that even with more strength and speed behind his attacks, Zack was keeping up easily.
Zack waited for an opening and found it when Daniel overextended on a knee strike. He stepped in and delivered a brutal liver shot, his fist sinking deep into Daniel's side.
A massive shockwave erupted beside Daniel, who winced in pain. He quickly pivoted away before Zack could follow up.
"You're getting the hang of this, but you still can't beat me with just iron boxing," Daniel said, breathing heavily. He stretched his arms out, his posture relaxing, inviting Zack to come at him again.
