Unfaulteringly, Luna believed this was a trifling coincidence, It was conceivable that there were a thousand Rakis in the city, there was no way in hell that this was the monster that had put an end to her life, besides she was only halfway through her sentence.
"Nathan St.Patrick gave me this number,I need a henchman." Luna tightly clenched the phone.
The Raki on the end of the line hung up without a response.
BEEP'
A text message with detailed directions to where they would meet up, Luna was well conversant with the location.
It was in the slum area that she and her family had moved to after they had gone broke.
She drove through the familiar sparcely populated city admiring the tall magnificent buildings of which majority were owned by the Robinsons.
As she passed by the headquarters of Kings group she couldn't help but get a taco from the popular food joint that was right next to the headquarters of Kings group of Companies.
Luna savored every bite just like she did in her previous life while gleefully smiling at her junior Co workers who ignored her since she was now a total stranger to them.
When she had her fill, she sat back in her posh car and continued with the rest of her journey.
The slum was a habitat for criminals, the last thing she needed was to have her car or some parts of it stolen, so she made a momentous decision to park it at a secure location and signaled for the empty taxi that was close by.
"Where to ma'am?" The bold middle aged driver asked while adjusting the rear view mirror to have a better look at the beautiful woman who had just told him to drive her to the dirty slums in the southern part of the city.
"Are you sure pretty lady? You look too delicate for that type of place." He licked his lips like he was about to devour her, his raspy voice irked her out.
In this body maybe since she looked like a glass figurine however in her previous one she only did manly jobs to survive, she worked at construction fetching bricks, those jobs paid well but she always had a hard time getting opportunities because was a female.
That aside she delivered groceries to many homes including the Robinson Mansion which was her turning point.
One auspicious day, the President of the King's group had a severe panic attack, as luck might have it, Luna gave him first aid which saved him from a heart attack according to his personal doctor.
To show her his gratitude,he gave her a job her his personal secretary against the indiffence of his wife and the rest was history.
"Dont let this pretty face deceive you,I can take good care of myself." She sneered at his condescending tone and lusting gaze.
The man knew better than to mess with a rich beautiful lady so he apologized for offending her and concentrated on his driving.
The taxi parked right by the door entrance of the rickety building whose old yellow paint appeared to be iron brown in color.
She worried for her safety when a woman that had camouflaged herself from head to toe slipped and fell as she came down the small poorly constructed iron staircase.
Nosooner had she ran to her assistance when the shawl glided off her head to her shoulders revealing her innocent baby face.
A face she had often dreamed scraping and punching, one that masked the evilness that lied within the owner and Luna wasn't prepared to see it yet again.
MEGAN!
Luna's stance changed naturally to combat mode ready to attack her opponent, her gaze exuded bitterness and fury, she felt a strong longing for vengeance sweep through her it was an inopportune moment.
Further more, Megan was pregnant with her baby, she couldn't harm her as yet.
Luna took in deep breaths and loudly exhaled to soothe the flames in her heart.
That aside, the universe had presented her with an opportunity to be in Megan's good graces and she intended to use it whole heartedly.
"Oh my goodness Ms are you alright?" Her ingenuine sounded pitiful and sympathetic but what she wanted deep down was scratch her egg like eyes out.
'AHH' Megan groaned in pain as she got up on her feet while adjusted her scarf to its original position. Luna picked the white tote bag from the dusty ground and before she could hand it to her Megan snatched it and wobbled to the waiting empty cab.
'Serves you right, stupid bitch' Luna scoffed as she clenched her phone wishing she could drop dead in the near future.
'What was Megan doing here? What was fate trying to play at? Why did we meet like this?' She had already planned to meet her strategically in her full glory as the white witch but now that ship had sailed.
Carefully mounted the old tiny and wobbly iron staircase making an endeavor to arrive safely at her destination.
She knocked on the paint flaked door which appeared to be closed. She peered through the thick glass window and saw no activity so she reached for her bag and pulled out her phone to call the number again.
Raki the receiver informed her that she was done with the day but since she was there on Nathan's recommendation she didn't really have a choice, "I'll be there in a few, mmm...ahhh...ohh" Raki sensually moaned without a care if the caller was listening.
After a few minutes of waiting, a tall burly man who introduced himself as Mantis invited her in. His eyes were cold and condescending until he saw her expensive Rolex.
He cleared his throat and wiped hot sweat off his plain face "She'll be with you any minute." His eyes were still fixed on her watch as he fastened his trousers.
Luna took it off and threw it at him "nice catch, you can have it." There was more from where that came from. She needed people in her corner and Mantis looked like he had an eye for pretty things.
'He looks like the type that would do anything for some cheap change.' She smiled as he exclaimed with joy almost kissing her toes.
It was an original gold Rolex oyster that cost around $20,000 but she handed it to him like it was nothing.
"I'll be at you're beck and call if you need me ma'am.' He saluted her to further express his loyalty.
"Give me you're number then Mr Mantis." She punched it in using her index finger and saved him as -Mantis henchman-
Luna had grown impatient of waiting, she stood up to take her leave, the familiar sickening voice that came from behind her made her shudder involuntarily.
"Leaving so soon?" Raki asked as she strutted toward the biggest chair in the room which was positioned directly opposite from where she sat.
Mantis excused himself to bring the cigars that she had ordered for.
She was still the same treacherous bitch, always smiling but waiting to stab you in the back at the right price.
Luna fought down the urge to grab her by the collar. What kept her sane was the fact that she had the advantage because she didn't know who she was, besides Raki would have to pay for her sins but as for now she wanted to use her.
"My time is very precious, I don't like wasting it." Luna's tone was as cold as ice, she made an endeavor to relax her stiff body.
Nodding her head Raki offered her an apology, she didn't want to mess with Nathan's princess, he had called earlier and ordered Raki to take good care of her.
Luna's pale face was as white than snow "You look like you've seen a ghost or are you naturally frail." Raki mockingly laughed exposing her golden tooth.
'Two can play this game' Luna thought before replying "Two actually, one is seated in this room right now." Her voice suddenly became eerie and terrifying.
