Everly's eyes fluttered open as she blinked rapidly. The first thing she saw was Ivan's face, one of his arms wrapped around her shoulder while the other held up her head, and the rain that continued to pour down on them nonstop. Her eyes darted from left to right as she tried to process what was happening. She had passed out for more than 30 seconds.
"Everly? Are you okay? Can you hear me?" The sounds of Ivan's voice echoed loudly in her ears. She shook her head slightly before closing her eyes again. Did she pass out a second time?
"Where the fuck were you when this was planted on the car?" Ivan growled, glaring up at Sergei. "How could you be this careless?! Part of your job is to make sure she's safe, so how did it happen under your watch? Ivan's eyes looked bloodshot at that moment as he gave Sergei a death glare.
