Everly's face scrunched with confusion as she sat on the dining table while her mom prepared to serve breakfast. She looked around the kitchen, from left to right, up and down, making sure all of it wasn't just her imagination. "This is our old kitchen," she whispered to herself. She was still left perplexed by everything at that moment.
She looked down at her hand, and her eye twitched and her brow furrowed in bewilderment. Was all of this true? Is she certain that she isn't just dreaming? There was only one way to find out. She closed one eye and suddenly pinched her arm hard.
"Ow!" She cried out as she felt the pain from the pinch. This was definitely real. She rubbed her arm and continued to look around.
