The room lit up once more, and a familiar voice suddenly echoed. "You're going to die, you worthless piece of shit!".
"Huh" Everly, who was kneeling down, turned around to see Damien approaching her. She stood up and shot him a perplexed look before backing away slowly. What was he doing here?.
She continued to back away as he came closer until her back met the wall.
Damien now stood, glaring down at her. "Weaklings like you should be cleansed from this world." His brows furrowed.
Everly cocked an eyebrow, unsure of what he was going on about. "What are you talking about?".
Damien peered down at her with a murderous glint in his eyes. "You should die, just like your mother!"
A firm grip secured her neck in a beat of a heart, and before she could process what had just happened, she was slammed against the wall roughly, her head smacking painfully against it.
