Chapter 27 - First Meet

She walked forward casually, tapping Ava on the shoulder. Ava turned to gaze at Zara. Zara motioned for her to step to the side before she could say anything, smiling calmly.

Other servants who had seen Zara in her childhood recognized her and came to assist them. But Zara gazed at them, and they stood to the side, saying nothing.

Ava couldn't say anything and only do what was requested of her. When Ava slightly shifted to the side and joined the others, Zara turned to Gia and cast an icy stare that seemed like it might kill someone.

She said coldly, "Keep quiet?!" as her voice boomed around the hall. It was a simple statement, but when the small girl spoke it, others shivered in terror.

Gia was startled by the unexpected sentence and terrified as she stared at the girl in front of her, who appeared to be about to murder her any minute.

Olivia, who was approaching them, was also taken aback by the unexpected remark that terrified everyone; the words did not appear to be a request, but rather an order.

When she came into the living room, she noticed a stunning girl with exquisite and soft skin staring coldly at Gia.

The girl did not appear to be from a wealthy household based on her apparel, which included an oversized sweater with the cuffs pulled up, faded trousers, and well-worn sneakers.

But, upon closer inspection, it became clear that she came from a noble lineage, as evidenced by the elegant elegance and aura she exuded.

Olivia felt a twinge of jealousy in her heart when she saw the girl like that since she realized that even if she had a wonderful and prominent family and more money, she lacked the strong and powerful aura that the girl possessed.

Nevertheless, Olivia decided to confront the girl since she was invading her space and mistreating her staff.

Gia was frightened after hearing Zara's cold voice and seeing the girl's expression that she couldn't even breathe loudly. Zara leaned down to grab a glass of water, as though she had found some peace.

When Ava saw what Zara was about to do, she swiftly bent down and filled the glass before handing it to her. "Thank you." Zara remarked with a smile, taking the drink from her.

"What's happening here?" Olivia said gently, walking gently. Gia had the impression that someone had come to save her when she saw Olivia.

So she hurried up to Olivia and exclaimed, "Young Miss. This girl is behaving wildly inside your home. And she actually shoved me down."

Zara put the drink down and looked at the person who had just spoken. When she heard Gia's comments, she arched an eyebrow at her and appeared to be staring at a clown.

Olivia was also outraged by Zara's attitude toward her, but she didn't want to damage her polite manner in front of the servants by confronting someone who was not even on her level.

So she pulled herself upright and asked, smiling, "Excuse me, Miss. May I ask who you are?"

Zara observed Olivia from head to toe and looked straight into her eyes saying, "Hello, I'm Zara Adam." Olivia, Gia, and a few other staff were taken aback to learn that this girl shared the last name of this mansion.

Olivia struggled to gather her thoughts and asked for confirmation, "Did you say, Zara Adam?" Zara only nodded as she pulled her phone from her pocket and sat down on the couch.

Olivia didn't think much, supposing that this girl was one of her distant relatives who came to seek financial support. But she was outraged by the person who sat without permission in someone's home.

Olivia looked at her with a frown. "Ms. Zara, even if you are a relative of Adam's family, you cannot enter their home and reprimand their servants without their consent."

Hearing this, Zara glanced up at her and remarked, "You must be Olivia, right?" Standing by Olivia, Gia gathered some courage and yelled at her, "How can you call our Young Miss by her name? Do you really think you can call her that?"

Zara pretended not to hear her and turned to Olivia, asking, "Do you mean scolding? Did you witness me scolding someone? I think the opposite is happening here."

Olivia never expected an average cousin who came to seek help from her family to be so haughty and talk back to her. She couldn't contain her rage and was ready to erupt when Ava interrupted, saying, "Young Miss, she's your elder sister."

Olivia was even more outraged when she heard the servant address a relative, her elder sister. She furiously looked at Ava and asked, "Who does she think she is? Is she even capable or fit to be my older sister? Just because she is related does not imply that I will accept her as my sister."

She yelled violently at Ava, then turned to Zara and said "Just wait! Do you really believe that simply because your last name is Adam, you can have everything you want from this family? Just wait to be booted out of the mansion when my parents come."

Olivia stomped her feet in rage and turned to walk to her room. The servants were astounded to see their young miss, who appeared to be so delicate and compassionate, to speak like this.

Gia glared angrily at Zara and then at Ava, saying, "Ava, just because someone came, you exposed your true colors, right? Remember, she's only a distant relative and will leave once her job here is completed. Don't you wish to live an easy life?"

Without changing her look, Ava answered calmly, "Gia, I believe you should be the one to be cautious from now on. When the moment comes, do not cry and cause a spectacle in front of Master and Madam."

"You.... Just wait." Gia spoke as she followed Olivia to her room.

After the two had departed, Ava went to Zara and lowered her head, saying, "I apologize, Miss. You had to witness this scene on the first day of your return after a long time." "It's okay, Ava." Zara smiled at Ava and replied calmly.

"Ava, it's been a long time. How are you?" "Yes, Miss. It has been a long time. I am totally alright, Miss. But Madam and Master didn't say you'd return today?" Ava responded and inquired in confusion.

"They don't know about my return." Zara replied with a smile. After that, she rose up, looked at Ava, and said, "I'm returning to my room, Ava. Please do not interrupt me for lunch. My baggage will eventually come. Take care of it."

"Okay, Miss." If you need anything, simply call for me." Ava spoke to Zara with her head slightly down. Zara nodded to Ava and walked up the steps without looking back.
