Zara was eventually pushed out of the operating theatre. Seeing his precious doll covered in bandages and lying unconscious, Andrew held the shaking Kylie in his arms with a complicated expression.
Zara was placed in a top VIP room on the hospital's top floor of the west wing building.
After settling Zara, the family members walked out of the room where she was resting and sat in the living hall, leaving Kylie with her baby.
The living room had an odd ambiance. Mathew calmly inquired, "How did Zara get into an accident, Andrew?" while glancing at his younger son.
Hearing his father's statements, Andrew responded, "I asked them to look into it, Dad. Do not worry. I will not let the person who caused my daughter's suffering live a tranquil life." He clasped his hands together thinking back to his daughter's smiling face.
Alan and Hendry, who had been standing with their brothers until now, approached and glanced at the family members. Max noticed his grandchildren walking and raised his head, softly asking, "Alan, Hendry, do you two have anything to say?".
"Grandpa, we have some doubts regarding this accident. We don't believe this is just an accident." Alan spoke with a calm yet serious expression while looking at his family members.
When the family heard Alan's statements, they didn't think he was kidding. Because the family knew Alan adored his sister very much and would never say anything without thinking.
"How do you say that, dear?" Anne inquired with a puzzled expression as she heard her grandson's statements.
"Give it some thought. Sister's vehicle was parked in front of the mall's entrance. Why do you think that truck hit our sister's car accurately, given all the space it had on the road? Isn't this synchronicity simply too much?" Hendry spoke as he gazed at the elders.
Everyone had been thinking about the possibilities for a while when Max rose from his seat, wrath on his face, and smashed the flower vase next to him. After hearing the boom, the remaining members emerged out of their thoughts.
Jenny, who was seated next to her husband and contemplating, saw his severe and angry expression. So she stood up and held his hand with one hand while patting his back with the other to relieve his rage. She murmured softly, "Don't make too much noise. Zara is still comatose, and Kylie is inside. What happens if you terrify your daughter?"
A nurse arrived to check on Zara at this point and knocked on the door. She was taken aback when she walked in and saw those present in the living room in an odd environment. But when she looked closer, she noticed that each person had a killing purpose on their faces and an aura that said, "Don't come near unless you want to die."
Looking at the individuals in front of her, the nurse felt her leg weaken and a cold sweat run down her spine. Kylie came out to check as she heard the sound of shattering.
When she exited the room, she noticed the nurse standing at the door, terror on her face and trembling hands causing the tray to wobble. Kylie stared at her family members again, and she sensed something was amiss.
First, she requested that the nurse come in and examine Zara. After the nurse had left, Kylie approached the family members sat next to Andrew in a single-seated chair next to him and asked the brothers to look after Zara.
"What happened? Why are you people so serious?" Kylie was baffled as to why her family members were wearing such a look, which even caused the nurse to flee in terror.
Andrew informed Kylie of their concerns about the collision. Kylie was so startled that she couldn't understand what Andrew was saying after learning that someone had intentionally attempted to hurt their child.
Without saying anything, Kylie began to cry as she leaned into Andrew's embrace.
When Mathew saw her daughter-in-law crying, he became enraged and yelled, "Who has the audit to do that? Alex, go find the individual who did this. I'll skin him alive and feed him to the dog."
Anne ran up to her husband Mathew and calmed him down by asking, "Why are you starting now? Can't you see Zara is still unconscious? Lower your voice."
"I don't think it's time to be angry. The first thing we should do is determine who caused the accident. And why were they doing this?" Beck spoke with a calm and chilly expression.
Because the Adam family is an aristocratic family, they have the ability to obtain information at any time. Alex returned with a file with his brows furrowed as he placed it on the coffee table.
Mathew took the file and started reading. As he flipped through the pages, his face became more perplexed, and he eventually tossed the file in rage, shouting, "What does this mean? Can't we find the person behind him if the driver is no longer alive?"
Beck took and looked through the file, and Daisy leaned forward to look at it. With a calm expression, Daisy walked towards the elders.
Daisy bent down and poured a glass of water for Mathew, soothing him. "Uncle, I don't think today is the time to be angry. We should consider what to do next."
Looking at the complicated expression on their faces, Kylie had a bad feeling about it. "Sister-in-law, what happened? What's written in the file?"
Daisy initially made Kylie sit on the sofa, then sat next to her. Sofie sat on the other single-seat couch next to them. The brothers were with Zara, so the family concentrated on the details.
Daisy held Kylie's hand and stated, "According to the information, the truck driver purposely turned towards our car at that time. But there's another thing: the driver passed away."
Kylie and Sofie were taken aback to learn that the driver purposely attempted to hit their car, and the worst thing was that he was no longer alive.
"Why would he do that? Did you figure out who made him do that?" Kylie inquired worriedly, her red eyes fixed on the men in the family. "The individual is very safe in concealing his identity. I don't think he'll reveal his identity just like that." Daisy replied gently patting Kylie's hand.
After receiving this information, the family realized they couldn't risk Zara's life. As a result, bodyguards were stationed around the hospital to keep an eye on every corner, and no one other than doctors and nurses were permitted to visit the VIP level.
