Karenina's eyes flashed as she stared into his eyes, and retorted firmly, "So, what do you want me to do, Romeo? Are you blaming me for everything now?"
His jaws clenched, "I want you to forgive me, Karenina. I made a mistake, but you're not giving me a chance."
"A chance?" she repeated, her eyes burning with rage. "Why would I give you a chance? I don't want to!"
"That's not how it's done," his face darkened as he stepped close to her. "I apologized."
"Apologies mean nothing when you don't believe in me. You are saying that you are sorry and know how I was treated by my parents and whatnot..."
"You're not listening," Romeo's frustration boiled over as he slammed his hand against the wall, either side of her. "I said I was sorry."
